  1. Tell her, great color choice! Can't wait to see more.
  2. So where does the "longnose Mustang" fit into this series? Did it come out before or after? Was the 70 body modified into that? Could we even hope to see the stock 70 Mustang body again?
  3. Ya know - Daisy's Road Runner was the only muscle car I've ever seen with these kinds of wheels. All the rest were on trucks. Speaking of which, what about Daisy's Jeep? I seem to recall a nice set in that kit.
  4. Sounds like the equivalent of fiberglass kit cars of the 70s and steel reproduction cars today. Very interesting read.
  5. Well pick it up. This one is crying out to be finished!!!
  6. Does this kit fit into this thread? Knowing how rare and hard they are to come by nowadays, I regret that at two times in my life I had possession of this kit and TWICE sold them away. If anyone has one built, I'd sure like to see one posted here!
  7. That's all I was asking for. I wanted to hear others opinions. Actually, I'm happy that everybody has been able to share their opinions and there haven't been any squabbles at all on this thread!
  8. I can see why the attendant looks a little perplexed. "What grade of leaded fuel and where does it go?"
  9. That's great information and it fits with the GM timeline with the car. Thanks to Ralph Nader!?
  10. That's the irony of the whole thing! That's what I got from your pic.
  11. Or even the ever popular Shelby/Tbird lights!
  12. Trucks, boats, fishin', beer and country music. All combined into one project. Question is - what pulls the boat out of the lake at the end of the day?
  13. Not sure, but it looks to me like the trailer wheels and tires came from Revell's 1/32 snap kits. As I remember them looking like that.
  14. Is that all? I'll take two!
  15. I think the Cougar lights would have fit great. Should'a, could'a, would'a.
  16. Sometime back, I started trying to correct the body of the Lincoln, but chassis detail is non existent. Any suggestions for donors? It probably needs a better V12 too. Should I use parts from a Monogram 41? Revell 48?
  17. Love that car! I'm contemplating converting one into a 007 lookalike - headlights, gadgets and all. As I'll probably never be able to afford a real kit of that famous car! But I sure want to do it justice.
  18. Found it! Traditional Coach Works.
  19. Can't be an original conversion from when the car was new - the bed is from a 78-86 El Camino. There was a company that did convert Cadillacs into pickups back in the 70s. But I can't remember the name. They also did station wagons with them too. Very well done!
  20. Problem is, they look too much like 68 Camaro lights when not in a Mercury.
  21. Just saw this on the 'bay. I like it! https://www.ebay.com/itm/70-Dodge-Challenger-Built-Model-1-24-Scale-Junkyard-Diorama/133682298540?hash=item1f2015feac:g:mAsAAOSwD9hfuaeI The patina, the details, the car cover. It looks like a typical barn find. Not too destroyed. Looks like someone could theoretically restore it. Only thing that bugs me is that it doesn't have that unsprung look that happens when the weight of a heavy engine is gone from the front suspension. Wonder what it will sell for?
  22. Thanks Sam. Feeling's mutual!!
  23. The 69 Firebird lights would have fit perfectly and been less identifiable!
