  1. Don’t know if He’s still around? His last post was Dec 2022. Maybe someone on here knows him?
  2. I would recommend Milliput fine white for a two part putty. I’ve had some on my desk for a few years now and it is still fine. It comes in two sticks that you mix together. I cut a chunk off of each, roll them into separate balls to compare the amounts then knead them together (wearing latex or nitrile gloves).
  3. Can’t go wrong with a set of Keystone Klassics.😎
  4. I just wasn’t pleased with the roof which led to the whole silly T-Bird graft attempt. What this one needs in my mind is a slightly beefier B pillar. So…out came the razor saw. Glued in some 0.156”x0.250” Evergreen. Just enough to stretch the B pillar but not shorten the box noticeably.🧐 A bit of grinding to be done.🥵 This is where the rotary tool comes in handy.😎 Trying to decide on some rims and tires too. These are my four favourites so far. I kinda like the stock white walls and hub caps. Now that’s more like it!🙂 It almost looks like it’s been slightly chopped?
  5. I might skip the chisel blade and go straight to the files.
  6. I don’t see why aluminum mig wire would be too soft. Unless the 0.035” diameter is too large to telescope into the tubing if that’s what’s required?
  7. I had the box mounted to the frame and then realized that the interior tub was the depth guage for mounting everything else. So I wound up re-fitting the interior tub and then the box mounts. I am attaching the box to the chassis/floorpan as I think it will work better for painting and assembly. I’Ve put so much work into these wheel wells that I think I should leave the wheels off and just display it on Jack Stands.🥵
  8. Well I WAS working on something else, then a couple of Nomadic Squirrels ran across my bench and here I am now….So I decided that I might like to mount a slightly wider set of tires on this, and the moulded in fender wells on the bed are the limiting factor. I briefly thought about tubbing it using some hacked off wheel wells from the parts box. But I could only move them in about 1/8” before I matched the frame width. So I decided to just move the existing stuff inboard a bit. And I hacked off the tailgate hinges. I will make my own so that the tailgate can be mounted after paint maybe?
  9. You could also do some touch-ups with a brush…thin coats. If you don’t tell anyone they likely wouldn’t notice.
  10. Have you seen her topless?😜
  11. Right way to build a model is to follow the instructions to a tee…kapish.🙄
  12. From what I have researched, you need to copper plate the white metal before it can be soldered. Here is a link to a thread I started with an inquiry about soldering it. I ended up using Milliput. https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/156256-die-cast-body-modification/ Edit: I never did try the MuggyWeld stuff in my link, and I had no luck with ordinary solder.
  13. The body is looking super!😎
  14. It looks like a nicely detailed kit.🙂 What are those things you are using to stick your parts to the paint stick if I may ask?
  15. Good progress, and it looks like a really nice kit. That must have had a multi piece frame too right?
  16. You could salvage the pulleys? Then you would need to make a belt somehow.🧐
  17. Changes can be scary or they can be a welcome relief.
  18. Great looking panel wagon Pat!👍 Now I can’t help thinking about Monty Pythons cheese shop skit.🙂
  19. Can you post a pic of the overspray? You might be able to polish it off if its light enough.
  20. Very nice looking chop.👍 Just the right amount in my eye.😎
  21. I know there are builders who can do far better work than I with less than either of us have.
  22. Your original tint job looks good. How about masking and painting the black perimeter first and then dipping the entire thing.
  23. Now in my mind it should never be eaten raw if it was able to move under its own power.
  24. Here’s mine. Spray booth is out in the garage.
