  1. Excellent concept and beautifully executed Claude!šŸ‘ I like that hood hinge mechanism.šŸ˜Ž
  2. Really SWEET lookin’ model A! Well done Jon!šŸ‘šŸ˜Ž
  3. What are you attempting to do? Would masking tape not work?
  4. About time to put a paint job on something.😳
  5. Now that would make a cool model!šŸ˜Ž
  6. Overtime shouldn’t be necessary if the company has enough competent employees.
  7. Since the roofline no longer extends to the rear of the car, I mixed up a large batch of Milliput yesterday and slathered it on this and another ā€˜36 ford am fiddling with…but that’s another story.šŸ˜µā€šŸ’« Today I did some shaping on the ā€˜Vette and shot a coat of primer on to see where I’m at.🧐 And I picked up an MPC ā€˜67 Vette at the last club meeting that will donate it’s rear diff and suspension. Still some fabrication to do for mounts, but at least the width should be OK.šŸ˜Ž
  8. Looks good Pat. The backdrop really makes it stand out.šŸ‘
  9. Fantastic work Ken! You have a great eye for design.šŸ‘šŸ˜Ž
  10. My wife and I enjoyed it as just an action film. We know nothing about F1 racing and realize that it is not based on a true story. I can see it maybe being disappointing if you are an F1 fan. We had to move twice due to eight young guys behind us talking. Then we moved close to some guy wearing a pint of cologne and the wife couldn’t breathe. Third spot was a charm.
  11. I was hesitant to open this thread….thought there might be a pic of you sitting at your model bench.😬 I have only used Tamiya Coarse, Fine and Finishing with mediocre results mostly due to my lack of patience.
  12. Milliput Fine White would be my first choice. The CA superglue will likely also work, but might not sand as easily like the Milliput.
  13. Now that is FUNNY! 🤣🤣🤣 On that note, I went searching for the definition and I personally agree with this assessment which technically rules out the majority of the preceding offerings, including the OP’s. NJMO😜 https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/a28225/sports-car-definition/
  14. I just hold my finger on the plate and a window pops up. Then I choose ā€œsave to photosā€. Then I re-size it with image size. https://www.acme.com/licensemaker/licensemaker.cgi?state=Tennessee&text=CARL&plate=2000&r=223118362
  15. I’m a cheapskate…I mean I’m frugal Steve.😳 I didn’t know if I could make this look decent or not??? Plus, I really don’t need anything other than the body shell, and I knew the guy at the flea market had at least a couple of these…so for a 5 buck investment….😬 You’re welcome to jump on the bandwagon Bill. You must have one in your stash?šŸ™‚ Thank you Carl. Lots of decisions ahead.šŸ˜µā€šŸ’« Thanks Jim! I haven’t figured that out yet. As usual, I’m making it up as I go along. I did buy a couple of small trusses to experiment with.šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø This will likely turn into another sporadic project.🄓
  16. Pretty is in the eye of the beholder.
  17. There is an ipms show anually I believe. I think it has already been held for this year. https://ipmswinnipeg.ca/
  18. Wow, this is looking great. Nice upgrades in the engine bay and that color looks fabulous on it.šŸ‘šŸ˜Ž
  19. Thanks Michael.šŸ™‚ Yeah, my first attempt had too much of a wedge shape. I wanted a bit more of an elongated diamond shape. Thanks Chris. Thanks Daniel. Still a WIP. I believe I will fab up an injection system and try to update it somehow. Thanks Potaka. I am trying to get the body lines right and everything smoothed out before any painting. For the chop, I just kept cutting slivers off the C pillar until the roof and rear deck curves seemed to line up. I have a bunch of pics, but nothing that really shows anything extra. i will certainly post some more after the first round of putty.
  20. Years have gone by since I drove a three in the tree.
  21. Much has changed during our lifetimes and even bigger changes are on the horizon.
  22. I haven’t been at the bench much lately, but I am still plugging away at this once in a while. I got a floor pan partially scratched. Cut out the rear wheel openings and re-shaped the body lines a bit. Still lots more bodywork to be done.🄵
  23. I have put a tiny bit of CA on the tip of the belt to keep it from fraying. Then trim it a bit to enter the slot easier.

Stance is looking good Bruce.šŸ‘ I started this kit back in 2019, set it aside for 5 years, and just finished it this year. A couple of things to watch out for: The bumpers don’t have decent mounting points. I shortened the steering column because I thought it was way too far from the dash. Check the fit of the hood…I had to shim mine up so it would sit flush. Then either the radiator or the nose piece wouldn’t let it close completely.
