  1. That really turned out beautiful Bruce!๐Ÿ‘ I love the stance, and with the wheels and tires you chose, gives it a slightly sinister look.๐Ÿ˜Ž well done!
  2. She looks real nice Rich!๐Ÿ˜Ž These are really basic kits with a few minor issues, but they do build up into nice looking models. I built one relatively stock one and my next one has some slight modifications.๐Ÿ˜ฌ
  3. Great work designing it and actually building it Ken!๐Ÿ˜Ž At first glance I got a Corvette vibe off of it.
  4. If you canโ€™t find the proper size bar you could split it at the middle and extend it somehow.
  5. The headers look great daniel.๐Ÿ˜Ž I have to build a wild set for a Corvette project. I might have to look for some proper sized solder.๐Ÿค”
  6. Game time is seven oโ€™clock according to the tv channel guide.
  7. Great looking Jeep Pat!๐Ÿ‘ I definitely prefer the Gladiator grill on these trucks.
  8. Cool project!๐Ÿ˜Ž I would certainly grab one of those if I came across it.๐Ÿ™‚
  9. Thanks Chris.๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks David.๐Ÿ™‚ I think widening the C-pillar took it from odd looking to aesthetically pleasing. Thanks John. I debated making it look like a factory offering, but I really wanted to use the LS engine. Thanks Mike.๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks Brian.๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks Bill.๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you Stuart.๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks Bob.๐Ÿ™‚ The engine update is something I really wanted. I should have put disc brakes on it too, but you really canโ€™t see them anyways with the factory hubcaps. Thanks Al.๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you Chris.๐Ÿ™‚ Yeah, I grabbed a few parts from Revell kits including the exhaust system. Thanks J.๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you Craig.๐Ÿ™‚ I wanted to take away some of the Nomad look, and removing the tailgate ribs helped I think.
  10. Models of tractors is something Iโ€™ve never built.
  11. I think I like your approach the best Carl.๐Ÿ™‚ I find very little if any residue left afterwards. I am however very cheap with the foil and I burnish down the finished edges with a pointy Tamiya swab.
  12. Cool looking little truck!๐Ÿ˜Ž Itโ€™s all about having fun.๐Ÿ‘
  13. Nice start on this one Simo. I really like the look of the 911s.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  14. One manโ€™s junkyard is another manโ€™s goldmine!๐Ÿ˜Ž
  15. I dunnoโ€ฆif I could grab a nap in the afternoon maybe I wouldnโ€™t be going to bed at 9:30pm.๐Ÿ˜ด
  16. I canโ€™t tell you if it needs to be corrected, but if that โ€œMr. Hobbyโ€ glue is a solvent like Tamiya Extra Thin, then the only way to break the joint if it is completely dried, is to cut it apart. I would suggest a photo etch razor saw. Drill and pin the parts before re-assembly at the proper orientation.๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
  17. Looks like your buddy does fantastic work!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Ž
  18. I am calling this one done.๐Ÿฅต Thanks to everyone for your support and input along the journey.๐Ÿ™‚ More pics under glass here: https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/203136-1955-el-camino/#comment-3068281
  19. I had lots of fun building this one.๐Ÿ™‚ This was an AMT โ€˜55 Nomad kit. It came with the half roof option, but it needed a fair bit of modification to fit and look good. The bed is made from real walnut edge veneer. The engine and trans are from a Revell 2002 Camaro. Paint is a mixture of Tamiya metallic red and metallic black. Thanks for looking and all comments welcome.๐Ÿ˜Ž Build thread here: https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/193789-โ€˜55-el-camino/#comments
  20. Great work! The paint job is fabulous.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  21. Sweet looking truck there Glen! Excellent work blending all the components together.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Ž
  22. Nice work Matt!๐Ÿ‘ Thatโ€™s just about exactly how I built mineโ€ฆsame colour, same white bumpers.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  23. This is the video I get. โ€œCan We SAVE A 1920 Zenith T5F Carburetor W/ MODERN Technology?โ€œ Edit: I thought it was the wrong video, but the 3d scanning starts at 4:05.
