That really turned out beautiful Bruce!๐ I love the stance, and with the wheels and tires you chose, gives it a slightly sinister look.๐ well done!
-
She looks real nice Rich!๐ These are really basic kits with a few minor issues, but they do build up into nice looking models. I built one relatively stock one and my next one has some slight modifications.๐ฌ

Great work designing it and actually building it Ken!๐ At first glance I got a Corvette vibe off of it.

If you canโt find the proper size bar you could split it at the middle and extend it somehow.

The headers look great daniel.๐ I have to build a wild set for a Corvette project. I might have to look for some proper sized solder.๐ค

Great looking Jeep Pat!๐ I definitely prefer the Gladiator grill on these trucks. -
Cool project!๐ I would certainly grab one of those if I came across it.๐

Thanks Chris.๐ Thanks David.๐ I think widening the C-pillar took it from odd looking to aesthetically pleasing. Thanks John. I debated making it look like a factory offering, but I really wanted to use the LS engine. Thanks Mike.๐ Thanks Brian.๐ Thanks Bill.๐ Thank you Stuart.๐ Thanks Bob.๐ The engine update is something I really wanted. I should have put disc brakes on it too, but you really canโt see them anyways with the factory hubcaps. Thanks Al.๐ Thank you Chris.๐ Yeah, I grabbed a few parts from Revell kits including the exhaust system. Thanks J.๐ Thank you Craig.๐ I wanted to take away some of the Nomad look, and removing the tailgate ribs helped I think. -
Models of tractors is something Iโve never built.

BMF Glue Residue Removal
NOBLNG replied to Horrorshow's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I think I like your approach the best Carl.๐ I find very little if any residue left afterwards. I am however very cheap with the foil and I burnish down the finished edges with a pointy Tamiya swab. -
Nice start on this one Simo. I really like the look of the 911s.๐

I dunnoโฆif I could grab a nap in the afternoon maybe I wouldnโt be going to bed at 9:30pm.๐ด

I canโt tell you if it needs to be corrected, but if that โMr. Hobbyโ glue is a solvent like Tamiya Extra Thin, then the only way to break the joint if it is completely dried, is to cut it apart. I would suggest a photo etch razor saw. Drill and pin the parts before re-assembly at the proper orientation.๐คทโโ๏ธ

I had lots of fun building this one.๐ This was an AMT โ55 Nomad kit. It came with the half roof option, but it needed a fair bit of modification to fit and look good. The bed is made from real walnut edge veneer. The engine and trans are from a Revell 2002 Camaro. Paint is a mixture of Tamiya metallic red and metallic black. Thanks for looking and all comments welcome.๐ Build thread here: https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/193789-โ55-el-camino/#comments
