    Yeah, the mirrors are two piece units that I stole from the Foose Impala. The mirrors sections are too thin to pin.

    Thanks Jim….I learned this method right here on the forum.🙂 I pinned the bases to the body and then added the mirror sections as a last step.

    The grill is in, the wood bed is in, the door handles are on and the mirrors are located and just waiting for the glue to dry. Once the license plate is attached it will be done.

    I can’t take credit for this idea, as I ran across this post on a thread here. Thanks Eelco! It works good enough for me. These are Marette brand.

    That’s what I do. I have made a custom tilt column for a ‘31 Ford. And I trimmed probably a scale foot and a half off the Monogram’64 GTO column.

    The chassis and the body are now permanently mated (I hope😬). After having the radiator in and out about a dozen times I got a couple of rad hoses made to fit and added an antifreeze recovery tank.

    These are handy and I use them occasionally.

    Words can be arranged into a proper sentence if one is inclined to make the effort.

    I also like to pin tiny parts. Even large parts like bumpers and seats. You can use any relatively rigid wire for pins. I like to use 0.020” brass. It cuts easily with my cheap nippers. For tinier pins I have some 0.010” and 0.015” Phosphor-bronze wire that I got at a model railroad shop.

    I use 5 minute epoxy to mount them solid. The rears are parallel and the fronts have a bit of “toe-in”.
