    These showed up from Japan. There were three others in the box buy they are my Christmas present so the wife put them away before I could examine them.

    I use Tamiya for my primer (I'm going broke on primer) and spray paint. I love Vallejo for my brush work and air brushing.

    I snagged a vintage 956 about 4 years ago, sources the Rothman decals and built it... would have been cool to have the old one to compare my skills before redoing.

    One of the most off-putting things ever about 1:1 car shows. I don't have $20k (or more) to drop on having someone build a show car for me so my hard work and labor won't ever get me anywhere. It's one of the main reasons I sold my 'project' car and daily drive something more 'bland' now.

    Throwing out the Tamiya Rothmans 956 I built as a kid. Sure it wasn't my best work, but I could have redone it.

    Love it! I've always had a soft spot for these. I almost bought a 280 for my first car. My dad talked me out of it...probably a lot of car for a 16yo kid.

    Not quite as "orange" and I had wanted, but it will do the trick. This looks like it could be a fun build. I might need to get another one at some point in the future.

    Looking great! I’ve used Micro Set and Micro Sol since 1987 (used to do N Scale trains) without issue. The stuff is a miracle as far as I’m concerned.

    I have no idea. I’d assume they’re all very close but Dann probably has more knowledge of such things. This is my first Hasegawa kit ever.

    I had to take a break from the 500SL so I started the body color for the Miura. The bottom will be gold, but that’ll be a while til I’m at that point.

    Looks great, and a nice tribute to your friend that you're fixing it up. Oh yeah...and Ferrari over Lambo anyday...and they NEED to be red.

    I've gone as far as making seat belts out of masking tape. They weren't perfect but still better than a decal. This build inspired me to order up a couple Ferrari kits including the Shark face F430. Can't wait!
