  1. Beautifully done.
  2. Never mind. I found some. For the record “rote sau decals” is a better search than “red pig decals”
  3. Anyone have a line on some decals for the Mercedes Rote Sau? 1:24 please.
  4. <Insert new comment about awesome build> You are really knocking this thing out of the park. I really can't imagine building this, but if I ever do this whole thread will be my guide. I will say, you have inspired me to do my best at my builds. I've stripped off paint just to try to do things better... not that I'll ever attain this level but its something.
  5. Airbrush and Vallejo paint. I pulled the trigger just right to get a bit of splatter to the dash. The seats were just airbrushed at regular flow. The Vallejo paint is really soft looking when airbrushed. I haven’t done too much of it yet but I see a lot in the future.
  6. Trying to get the soft feel texture of the dash, center console and seat right. I still need to detail everything but the general feel seems pretty good.
  7. I didn’t even notice it til you pointed it out. I probably won’t go to that level.
  8. Very nice as usual Dann.
  9. With the Miura and Mercedes our of the way I’m back on this. Trying to simulate the yellow black carbon fiber tub. Not too shabby if I say so myself.
  10. Sweet! Such a classic
  11. Thanks for all the compliments! ☺️ ?
  12. I’ve finally finished this. I absolutely love this car and the kit. I will be doing another one in the future. Now that I know the kit better I can do some add-one next time (like opening the rear grille ala @Dann Tier) Speaking of whom...thanks for the brown panel accent tip.
  13. I read the words "Three window coupe" and was transported to my childhood. My mom wanted a '34 three window (her birth year) and my parents looked high and low for an un-molested one (they weren't hot rod people). The ended up with a '35 Sedan... missed on both counts but she was happy. It was sold in unfinished condition after my dad passed. Anyway, thanks for a phrase I hadn't thought about in years. And very nice coupes
  14. Very nice! That body color is fantastic
  15. Looks like a great start and a lot of cool (although ill fitting) parts. I'll be following this one intently. I do have to say that that's probably the ugliest Ferrari ever... that's just my subjective opinion.
  16. Fighting a stomach bug today so I’m picking away at the Miura to pass the afternoon.
  17. Lol. It’s been a while since I’ve seen Goldfinger. My parents loved the Bond movies. Now I’ll have to rewatch them. You are correct, it is TS 21. I was impressed how nice it sprayed. I’m always nervous about metallics. Thanks Dann!
  18. Love it! Very well done and it was fun watching it come together.
  19. Yeah baby! Gold paint on the lower panels and the wheels.
  20. Well, I’ve hit the seats with some matte medium. This car has taught me a few additional lessons with how I’ll proceed from now on, painting and such. I’ve done a bit more on the motor and I really like how it came together.
  21. No worries man. I’m just enjoying the back and forth. I get the point of accurate reproduction of a particular race car, but since I’m never going to enter anything in a competition, I’m keeping the wrong yellow. And if I can find a cheap ME-109 kit...it’ll get done in pink. Lol.
  22. Good lord this is beautiful.
  23. I kinda wish it had a full motor, the assembly of it seems like it could have been as easy, or easier to have the whole thing.
