  1. I was looking at those last night... all I need is a literal boat-load of money and I'd totally get a road version just to drive to Cars and Coffee. The model isn't without it's flaws. I dislike the way the yellow covered, thick on edges and thin on the flats. I'm doing two now... lol. The road one will be silver and the racer is going to be a Rote Sau tribute. Thanks!
  2. Having spent a few years in the 1:1 VW scene, I’ll be following this. Awesome.
  3. I’m loving this enough that I may skip the livery, or add minimal decals.
  4. Thanks man! Found one on ebay for $12. That was too easy. Now to find some wheels to match.
  5. Admittedly I don’t know much about muscle cars and even less about Chrysler products. I certainly don’t know anything about the difference from year to year. But I’d like to build this car. What’s my best starting point? Any help is appreciated. The car in question is from the TV series “Burn Notice”. TIA
  6. Looks awesome. I always loved these... now you better do the Testarossa
  7. Wow!
  8. Great project Kurt. I’ve been a lover of the Beetle since I was in diapers...and generally a VW fan. My parents weren’t cool enough to own one (we had Ford Pintos during the gas crisis years) This is gonna be fun to watch.
  9. The interior is beautiful Dann. I’m anxious to see this coming together.
  10. Well, back to this “wrong color yellow abomination”. Lol
  11. Just got this kit and can’t wait to have at it. I’m waiting on the orange paint and carbon fiber decals.
  12. Same here.
  13. Looks really good. Non-factory windscreens are tricky, but it looks like you nailed it.
  14. A surprise showed up today. No tracking number from Japan always adds to the mystery and eventual excitement.
  15. Stuff from my childhood is in the 20-30 range. I got back into models when I was in my late 30 and went crazy with 1:35 military figures...there's well over a hundred. I got into cars again in 2014 and have done less than 20. . .... oh yeah, I had a model railroad from 1987 to 2000... no way I can give you a total on that.
  16. Looks great all around.
  17. I don't think I've ever seen this livery. It's very nice! Well built.
  18. Thanks for all the kind comments. It was a fun build. I was worried the aero wouldn't turn out but I'm happy with the end result.
  19. Not bad. This one requires some planning to paint everything right (like the aero stuff) but it went together well. The Mercedes I did was the easiest and the BMW was awful. The hood won’t fit by any stretch of the imagination. If you do one, start with the Mercedes.
  20. This has been hanging around the workbench since November of 2017. Good to have it completed and under glass.
  21. Haven’t built the first one, so what’s one more?
  22. I got my eye on one more for 2019, then I'd better build enough to put a dent in the stack before ordering more.
  23. I grew up in a Ford family. We had Pintos and a Bobcat. They hold a spot in my heart. The motor looks good to me
  24. Fitted the body and started the decals today. Getting close to the finish line.
