Spent what felt like the whole day and only have a little to show for it. Oh well. Should be able to wrap this by next weekend and then on to the next started-but-not-done debacle.

Great tip on the springs. I'm totally stealing that! The whole thing looks awesome.

WW III, the war on plastic.
Ich_Will replied to HotRodaSaurus's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Everyone tells me that MY plastic is the problem, that MY recycling (or lack of) is to blame, that MY car is polluting the air. I'm guilted everyday. Then I see pictures of China's air pollution or India's "Garbage Beach"... Tell me again how my efforts make one bit of difference in a world where some entire countries don't bother. -
The rear aero is so crazy, and the instructions aren’t as clear as I’d have liked. I’m making it work though. Me too. I have two Mercs, a BMW, and this. I’d love to see them make some new ones; I’d be all over them...not that I need more kits but...

I started this in November of 2017 so I figured I’d better finish it before I start any new kits. So far it has been going together just fine and the only incident was yesterday when I dropped the hood on the carpet after the final coat of red. Into the alcohol bath it went and I repainted it this morning. I love all the crazy aero stuff on these cars.

Another wildly productive year: 2018 completions

Man, I’d love to have a 1:1 of those... and I can afford it for once. -
Great work. I like the last one the best but they’re all great.

Great stuff Tommy. The 928 is my favorite, especially on those Seven Slots. Porsche made some iconic wheels in the 80’s.

Thanks everyone. The Bugatti is a repaint of the Maitso diecast. The paint was inspired by a Kate Spade purse my wife bought. Lol.

Oh man. Those are beautiful. Right up my alley.

One car...with 6x the effort put into all the cars I’ve ever built combined. Still beautifully done.
-
Still a fugly car, but a beautiful build.
-
Fantastic. Those lines are so beautiful.

Thank god the days of dial-up are past. A fantastic build for sure.

That’s pretty cool looking. I’m more into modern euro stuff, but this makes me want to look harder at the vintage stuff.

I wasn't aware this was a kit. I may have to look around for one.

Holy cats, that's super cool. I wish I was creative like this... will be following along on this one.

That Z looks killer. I always wanted a real one.

Thanks Tommy. It's easy to build a well made/well fitting kit... *easier* at least.

I'd highly recommend it. It is a fantastic build. The only thing that didn't immediately click with the instructions was the rear tail light lens but after some fiddling it made sense and fit like a glove. You can't go wrong with Tamiya quality.
