  1. Very well done.
  2. Car Napping looks like a fantastic movie. I'll have to keep an eye out for it.
  3. Thanks everyone!
  4. Pink ME-109 you say? Hold my beer ? ?
  5. Those wheels! ❤️❤️❤️
  6. Finish it up! Feel free to post pics on here. We can inspire each other as we go... 2 Bills building 962s.
  7. I just went at it with a brand new xacto. Scored it from the inside about 6 times and finished it off with some sand paper. It worked surprisingly well.
  8. Did a very little bit of painting. Motor details and shocks. I also put a satin coat on the seats but they are still way too glossy. I’ll have to hit the hobby shop and get some matte.
  9. I have th CLK GTR kit I’m going to do as a street car.
  10. LOL Thanks guys. I think the first yellow was a better match, but the coverage was garbage. It was over white primer. I know the Camel is too dark but I kinda dig the color so it's staying. I understand the desire for accuracy but yellow is one of those colors that I either love or hate. Camel = Love, Prius yellow = love, Audi Imola yellow = love, until it fades... I guess I like egg yoke yellows.
  11. Cool project and that’s some cool box art too.
  12. Submitted for your pleasure, another project I have on the bench. I’ve always loved the 956/962 so it was cool to snag this while on a business trip in upstate New York. I had originally painted it Tamiya Yellow but the coverage was poor and runny. I sanded and reshot it with Tamiya Camel Yellow. It’s better. Not perfect. Oh yellow, thou art a heartless color.
  13. It was a Fujimi/MRC kit. It seems to just be a poor design for the top on this. I think if I took out the “glass” I could use some clear styrene and it would be lots better
  14. Thanks for all the positive comments! I’m glad I changed colors. And kept at it. It almost went in the bin a few times.
  15. That’s a crazy looking front end! Very interesting.
  16. That’s way cool. Very realistic
  17. Very nice. I love the color and flames.
  18. Good clean build!
  19. From one William to another: Looks great!
  20. It’s under glass!!!!
  21. The long awaited completion of the convertible! I’m thrilled with the blue/tan combo. From a car I almost didn’t do, to one of my favorite finished products. It’s not perfect, but I’m happy. I’ll keep the soft top off as it fits poorly, but I did take the time to make it more realistic with masking tape. I also opted for the very 80’s yellow fog lights.
  22. In the home stretch! Need to finish the grille, headlight wipers, plates and soft top.
  23. Love the wood trim Dann. I’ve done a few in various Mercs. They don’t come out consistent but that’s sort of the point of burled walnut, right?
  24. A little over a year ago I sustained an eye injury. It has healed well but it’s not the same as it once was. But yeah, the camera certainly can show off the deficiencies.
  25. My fabrication skills are a little shaky, but I worked up some seat belts to fill the obvious lack in the kit.
