  1. I think he's referring to el Pistole on the counter. What is it? Can't tell from the photos. Springfield XD?
  2. Finally making this move forward. Primed.
  3. I've found shipping from Japan to be a total hit/miss. I have one seller I'll keep using who charges, but the shipping is fast and trackable. Usually the 'free' shipping is slow...mind numbingly slow. This Mercedes sat in Los Angeles Customs for 5 days! NYC Customs clears in hours.
  4. Good snag Super Dan! This arrived from Japan today. I have a problem. But it’s still cheaper than a coke habit...
  5. Thanks! I'll have a go at this. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?
  6. Way cool!!! I might have to ad this to the want list.
  7. Glad to see you back at it. I’ve yet to start mine...dang Benz is slowing everything. I can’t wait to see more of this (and on my monitor instead of my phone)
  8. I think this turned out better than the first attempt.
  9. After much work and a bit of creative cursing, we are back to primer. The brake fluid caused cracking in the clear windshield (permanently affixed due to the crushed A pillar from its life in a hobby shop) so it will never be a perfect model.
  10. Looks great. The hood it the icing on the cake! Very creative.
  11. Wow! This is an incredible build. Reminds me of Chris at Runge Cars. If you aren’t familiar, check out https://rungecars.com/ Keep up the amazing work!!
  12. I’ll go as cheap as I can. I only used the MB stuff because it was on hand. ?
  13. Good to know. It took some off but didn’t do a super job. I’ll grab some Dot3 this weekend.
  14. Tamiya blue with a Duplicolor gloss. I’ve used the gloss before with good results but not this time. I’m sticking to matching brands from now on.
  15. Annnnd my gloss messed up the blue. I guess I start over again ?. Appropriately I’ll be using genuine Mercedes Benz brake fluid to strip it. ?
  16. Looks great. I've always loved Panteras. My uncle had one... I only got to hear stories and see pictures of it.
  17. Well done Chris. I love it.
  18. I like this better than the R33... looks killer. The R32 always throws me a bit as I’m a Eurocar guy so that means something different to my brain.
  19. Nice. I like Skylines. I can’t wait to see this coming together.
  20. Mmmm. Color. Seems like a period correct blue...although I’m not 100% sure this car was offered in this color.
  21. Body is primed and generically painted black inside. Chassis is black and I’ve primed all the other parts (not shown). I really need to settle on a color I like. Time to scour the interwebs.
  22. That red is beautiful.
  23. I don’t think I’ve ever done something that breaks mid panel, I’ve always lucked out and had color changes at a panel line or something. When I used to do model trains I had a few like this but I was using an airbrush so the coats were lots thinner than you can get with a rattle can. I think if I were you I’d just plan on the clear evening it out.
