Just found this one. What an awesome little build! From memory the TS-94 has a lot of metallic flakes and will look great in the sun!! Keen to see the interior and BMF work

Hey guys! I haven’t build a model car in a few years and started thinking for ideas and inspiration. Now I love myself a nice 1st Camaro but it’s hard to do something “new” with them. I think I’ve seen every colour, style or modification done to them before. So I came up with this idea. Ive read about lots of US military workers being based in Japan and enjoying their car culture. Then once returning home they import a old Japanese car and continue to enjoy them is the States. Well what if the opposite happened? A Japanese military worker return home from the USA and brought an American car home with him? So here I am at the bench looking at a Revell 67 Camaro mocked up on Aoshima 14” Yayoi wheels. Looking pretty nice and low. Now will this stay a clean Shakotan car or will it end up becoming a Kaido racer or maybe even a Bosozoku gang car. let me know what you think.

Hobby lobby and tamiya primer
Sandboarder replied to fivesuns's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
The problem is once you understand and use the Mr Hobby primers, you’ll never use Tamiya again. Ive converted all my paints to the Mr Hobby lacquer range. The primers lay smooth and can correct orange peal (I have sprayed over the top of a ruined paint job with no prep) Their clear coats from the can have great levelling property‘s as does the Mr Levelling Thinner cool hand showed. -
I real like where your going with this build!! I’ll be looking forward to seeing this one completed ?

What Say You?

No where near as good as the Nissan S14 Boss front end, which is real. Luckily as modellers anything is possible to build. If you like it that much or have your own creative idea’s. -
Wow!! Awesome Nova!! Your style/vision applied to this Nova really create and unique Nova that looks great. This would have to be the best gloss black paint I’ve seen on the forum ?

Wow!! This build turned out awesome. Good choice of colour and exactly how they look in 1:1 Great job!!

That air bag setup ? this is really turning into a top quality build!

Awesome quality build!! I really like these KenMary Skylines and you’ve really done this GT-R justice ?

How did I miss this one. Amazing black n white paint job, it makes the roll cage, stickers and lights really pop!! The Kadio racer style really contradicts the fact it’s a police car as well. Top quality build and excellent finish. Looking forward to your next Japanese project Luke Since the LB Walk line of kits were released in 2013. I find they are great to build and go together very easily.

I jumped the gun on this one. So you mean pro touring style. Old car new running gear? But in scale? I built a Revell 69 Camaro with a LS1 and 2008 Camaro concept interior 10 years ago. It was a fun but rough build.

Most of what I have built. I’ve never seen in real life. So being 1:1 accurate isn’t my top concern. Looking like the cars cars on the internet is important but here in Australia there’s not many Camaro or Mustang driven daily unless you go to a car show. Now I’m building Japanese cars these even less of them here to see.

Been looking for something different to keep me in the hobby and was shown the Gunpla stuff a while ago. After a couple of year I have a bit of a collection and have started building Master Grades. Here is my 2nd MG build and everything has been painted with the air brush except the glass and pilot. When I decided to build Master Grade this is the standard I wanted to build to. Since then I’ve started trying to weather stuff so I’ll probably go back to this and weather it later on. Showing what inner frame it has The pilot Finished and with my first MG

Superchargers in kits?
Sandboarder replied to 426 pack's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Check out the Revell new Camaro as well. Also so I think clearly scale do 3D print/resin stuff that might be useful to you. -
The weekend modelers,
Sandboarder replied to Luc Janssens's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
My nearest local shop looks like this. -expensive American imported kits -expensive Japanese imported kits -minimum car kits -lots of tanks -lots of planes -lots if RC vehicles -some trains and boats -steady rise in Gunpla with affordable prices when everything else is getting more expensive. That sums up my nearest dedicated hobby shop. -
I'm not a fan but........

I’ve always been a one manufacturer kinda guy. Australia’s Holden. Paid no interest in anything else until recently. Then I discover Japanese car culture and the VIP guys. 100% appreciate and respect the enormous amount a body work that goes into these cars and the fact that their suspensions are completely re-engineered and functioning.
