With my other two projects finished, I can concentrate on this one. I have a lot of little things done to it. But, they all add up. I have the hood and trunk fitted to the body. Now they line up just like they should. I also have the chassis and interior fitted. I still have to add the package shelf and modify the dash to fit. I originally planned to use the Mercury dash. But, I really like how the dash from the Caddy looks. The body is almost ready to have some primer shot on it. I can't wait to see see it all white! I'm not sure if I'll keep the bumper guards. To me, they're a little too much. I may see if the bumpers from the Revell Mercury will fit. The fit of the grille still needs some tweaking done to it. It and the frame rails aren't wanting to get along. The grille is also causing an issue with the core support. I have the engine rough fit. I had to make a notch in the oil pan to clear the suspension cross member. Still have to add to the engine mounts and get them glued to the frame.

Thanx Eric! It'll work. But, it's not easy as I recall. The rear pillars have to be bent to meet the body. Making the side glass fit was also a pain. I did manage to use the rear glass from the kit.

Exceptionally nice models Scott! I really like the orange Nissan and the Raptor! Are the wheels/tires from the kit on the Nissan?
-
I really like that '32 Sedan! It's got the bare knuckles appeal all over it! Also like the black Model A.

That's a nice looking Duster Curtis! It's something that's rarely seen and the colors are perfect for it! Nice work!
-
Thanx! The '66 actually started out as a '67. I swapped front ends with an El Camino, tail light panel with a Malibu and modified the roof. None of these builds are resin. All styrene.

Thanx! I made the Edsel by bashing it with a '57 Del Rio.

Despite 2020's issues, I had a pretty good building year. Finished some old projects. Started and finished some new ones. I hope everyone has had a great Christmas! I have! I really pray that 2021 will be a better year!

You had an excellent year Cliff! Can't wait to see what's in store for the next year!

They're all nice Steve! The Galaxie really does it for me!
-
Nice work on all of them! You had a very productive year!

Really like the Torino!
-
They're all very nicely built! The Rabbit and Land Rover are especially nice! Nice work!

Some kick butt hot rods Rodney! I really like the chopped five window and Sport Coupe!

Another old project just finished up. In typical 2020 fashion, this build was a tough one! Paint issues, fitment issues, you name it. But, I was determined to get it finished. It's a kitbash of a Monogram Impala SS and the awful looking Alternomad. I grafted the roof of the Alternomad to the SS and modified it's interior to fit the SS body. The interior is simply Tamiya Gray Primer with various finishes. The body is Model Masters Dark Cherry Pearl with TS-13 clear. Wheels, tires and disc brakes are from one of the Revell California Wheels kits. Thanx for checking it out!

Jeepster Kits -- Is This All Of Them?

That's good news Tom! The kit piece needs a little work to make it better. It's missing the reveal at the bottom as well as the rubber molding detail around the side glass. But, it beats having to scratch build one! -

I built that kit when I was a kid. I painted it red with a brush! Several years ago, I bought and built the Stevens International issue in the same color scheme. -
Removing/"winding down" front windows
Plowboy replied to Pete75's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I always use a Dremel with a cut off wheel to get it close. Then finish with an Xacto blade, files and sandpaper. The reason I use a Dremel is it will cut without binding. I tried a razor saw once and it didn't work well for me. I'm much more comfortable using a Dremel to cut glass. -

Can you post a photo of an example? I've never seen a full top with a step in the roof. -
Jeepster Kits -- Is This All Of Them?
Plowboy replied to Tom Geiger's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The first issue is actually a '67. No long roof. Convertible roof only. The "69" looks to be a '67 also. The Safari version has no roof at all. Mine is molded in white plastic. It does have the side markers lights on the rear quarters and the reflectors added above the tail lights. But, no markers on the hood. As far as I know, the plow kit and the '72 were the only kits with the long roof. One thing that's wrong on these kits is the tail lights. The backup lights should be on top. Not the bottom. The Safari box art has them depicted correctly. -

Plowboy replied to brian falcone's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I think Fireball Modelworks makes that wheel.
