AMT 1964 Buick Riviera Annual - Box and Instructions

Way cool. Love the decal sheet. -
I love it! I used to own a 1:1 white 71 Ford Country Squire wagon when I was a teenager. It had no brakes and could do a hellova one wheel peel.

Thanks. My Dad used to drag race a 34 Plymouth coupe in the 60's. It had a 331 Hemi with zoomies. -
I agree with all the comments above. Nicely done on all of them.

Steve, your quality just blow me away. Consider yourself an inspiration me (and others). Bill

Scratch building half of an engine block. Most impressive. I would have just raided the parts box or gone with the 421 Poncho Parts Pack. Love your build so far. -

Nice builds. I am not knowledgeable of that era. What is the 3 window with the Desoto Hemi? -
As an owner of a number of 1:1 70-72 Grand Prix's I would be interested as well. I think the version that would sell the best is a never released Hurst SSJ version. I have a long neglected WIP of one using a Monte Carlo roof spliced into a promo body.

I agree. Visually the rear overhang it a bit too much. But since you obviously can do body work, you could probably pull it off. It is simply the question if you want to put forth the effort. Since the wheel arches are actually circular, you could cut them in such a way that you could swap them from side to side while maintaining the body line.

I am in the middle of building two of these. One is the 67 GT with a 427 SOHC motor being shoved in it. The other is to be a 67 Shelby GT350 with the small block. The green one was changed to silver. The blue one is still getting the blue striped off. I have been distracted by my 69 Boss 429 build and now my new mini lathe.

AMT kits suck!

I am with you brother. You just said what I was trying to moments ago. Subject subject subject. Then MAKE it what you want. -

Sheesh! Some of you guys take this way too seriously. Build simply for the enjoyment and the artistry. Having the basic subject to begin with is what is valuable for me. I'll work it over to get the results I am after even if it will never be perfect in someone else's eye. -
Most impressive. The paint finish is fantastic. I am not of that caliber skills wise. You did one thing I would not have done and did not do one thing I would have.

Welcome. Please continue to share your builds.

I must say... You have nailed it! -
Well that is going to be more of a challenge obviously.

Oh there is a viable reason. With such high parts count, it invariably increases the chance of failure.
