  1. Here is my triple drive Freightliner and extended deck lowboy trailer. Get at least two of the trailers to start. Have fun scratch building.
  2. Unfortunately, I do not have the 1:1 dimensions. What I do have is the exact item on a chrome tree for the 2004/2005 AMT/Ertl reissue of the 1972 Chevy pick up. The dimensions as measured by my dial calipers is 0.352" x 0.155" x 0.062". There is a trim ridge on 3 of the 4 edges of the face that are left/right dependent. Below is a pic of the tail lights on the tree.
  3. How about some 67-72 Chevy truck tail light lenses. I have a resin 67 that looks like they tried to use 67 Nova substitutes. I can get 1:25 scale real world dimensions if you wish. I also have no issues changing the color as you did.
  4. Your concrete and paint are very realistic. The only suggestion I would have would be make the truck appear dirtier. If it is so neglected that the paint can be in that condition, in reality, the odds of it being clean is pretty low. Great job overall.
  5. I agree, ALPS is the best. Keith Marks uses one and has sent me some great decals in unusual colors. (Hot metallic pink anyone?) My HP inkjet printer is 20 years old and still actually works. I gave up on it because reasonably priced ink cartridges (that actually print) just aren't out there any more. I got a new HP inkjet printer and it prints much better. Good artwork requires you start with a high resolution artwork file with sharp edges. Having your inkjet decals not run/smear is all in the clearcoat application technique and the patience to let it dry overnight. Inkjets are limited on color so no silver or gold. (nor white on clear). Another tip: If the finished file prints too large, reduce the PRINT size NOT the file size or resize the art. That way you do not lose the crispness. When I built my Hotwheels El Camino, I had more hours in the artwork than I did building the actual model. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/146939-hot-wheels-681968-el-camino/?tab=comments#comment-2157534
  6. Close enough! Here are a few I made fairly quickly.
  7. Nice color combo. I like it. Unfortunately. I think you may have installed the front spoiler upside-down.
  8. That turned out way, way cool! Nice job!
  9. The body is. The hundred other pieces are not.
  10. Thank you.
  11. This one was supposed to be easy but it put up a fight. Nonetheless, it is done. It is box stock except for the addition of a rear view mirror, a 351 decal on the parts box air cleaner and replacement tires on kit supplied rims.
  12. There are no words to ease what you have been going through. My God give you and your family peace.
  13. Welcome. Very nice builds you have.
  14. I am still a gradual buyer of kits. My best bargains were the raffles at models shows. I would buy $40 worth of tickets and go home with over $100 worth of kits. Some weren't in my wheelhouse but my interest in them may change. I jumped back into the hobby around 2004 (I think). Ebay got me most of what I have. Shipping was reasonable and many kits I got were $10-15 including shipping. I now have 98% of what I want with not very many duplicates. While I am still a shopper, I can pick and choose for the best deal. I use pickclick.com (not a link) and sort by price. It shows the best deal and is pretty good at finding oddball items much faster. I have sold a few items on Scalemates by keeping the prices reasonably low and letting the buyer pick their shipping method and cost. It usually takes about a week of correspondence to hammer everything out but it has worked out well for both parties. Also the "listing" is basically forever and there are no fees. You simply put the kit in your trading tab and it shows up that you are offering it whenever someone is simply researching that kit. I have sold maybe 4-5 kits in 2 years.
  15. Sweet! It is amazing what color and stance can do to virtually any car of the 60's.
  16. Carl, I wish you the best in your future. I have admired how encouraging you have been to all us other builder out here. Take care.
  17. Stunning, Absolutely stunning!
  18. Where did you get the Firestones?
  19. Nice resto/save.
  20. I like it. I am thinking the rear wing supports should lean forward not rearward though.
  21. Very nice result.
  22. There is a resin transkit for $500 on ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/324175597709. Maybe a cross between a 66 Charger and a 67 GTX could get you most of the way there.
  23. Nice work. I will be following. I have a variety of 68-70 Chargers stashed up ready to build.
  24. Welcome, This one has been stalled for some time.
