  1. Nice detail work!
  2. Very nice build. The wheels look like Keystone Klassics. You may wish to consider painting the openings to complete the look.
  3. Very nice job on all of them.
  4. Sweet. Very sweet.
  5. Yes it can be done. I have no basement and the garage is not climate (or dust) controlled. I made mine so that my wife with a very sensitive nose does not complain. My hobby room is multi purpose so I made it somewhat portable too.
  6. Thanks for the video treat. I am building a 67 Mustang GT drag racer right now. Still contemplating the livery.
  7. I third that. Styrene + Fusion. Bad, very bad.
  8. I like your mods. Following.
  9. Spent most of the day fabricating and trimming out the chassis pan and rear seat delete required after the minitub.
  10. While my meager efforts do not compare to entire scratch built cars, I did make a couple of headache racks earlier this year.
  11. A quote from the Sci-Fi series Firefly..."Shiny"
  12. Very well executed build. Especially all the edges of one color to another. I like your VERY realistic road too. How did you make that?
  13. Cool period features on that one. The exhaust, the wing and the whitewalls on mags.
  14. I used to rattle can paint outdoors until recently. A cooler day is OK if your paints and parts are warm (Pre-warm them). Them bring them back inside right away. Do your best to avoid humidity above 50%. My experience with some paints is, I would be done with a nice glossy finish, to come back later and find it dulled out thanks to the humidity. The good thing about painting outdoors is the lighting and vapor dispersion, The bad thing about painting outdoors is the bugs and dust.
  15. Thanks David, I do have to do a little housekeeping. I have already trimmed the interior side panels to compensate for the intrusion of the wheelwells.
  16. Thanks, Nigel. It was kind of a transparent type color. I did not do mist coats but went full coverage from the 1st spray. Doing so allowed the color to move away from all the ridges. Now that I have an airbrush I can do better. I know if I left it the way it was, it would always bother me. I picked the Mustangs simply because my display cabinet is well stocked with GM and Mopar at present.
  17. Thanks Sam, I a thinking a lighter color like white or silver or yellow. I want to decal it like a period late 60's drag racer. I have to see what I have in my decal stash.
  18. Welcome to the forum. I would not be surprised if I have bought from you before. Your stash certainly holds a lot of "holy grail" kits for some of us.
  19. Testors Extreme Lacquer for great color and shine without polishing. Hardware store paints are a better bargain (price per ounce) but some do not play nice with plastic. Duplicolor from any auto parts store works pretty well and you get enough for at least 2 models. Sometimes colors are limited. Their primer is recommended as well.
  20. Took the stock chassis and performed a 'minitub' job on it today. Did not want nor need to go full Prostreet on it. I removed as much material as I could to move the leaf spring and rails inboard with out having to hack up the gas tank. I made the cuts so I could still install all the stock parts. (My parts box is pretty thin). I scrounged up some NASCAR slicks because they are just the right size and sanded the tread.
  21. What a cute truck. I like the stripes.
  22. You could put links to all these right here on this posting.
  23. It is pretty cool to have. Someday I might get to take it to a model show.
