  1. That is one cool Caddy.
  2. I am not sure you will find anything in the correct scale, but calendar photos sometimes can be used as a background as opposed to a stark white photobooth. I used one to fill the windows in my diorama. Though I have seen some of the guys here get really believable perspective photos with a table and a parking lot at just the right angle.
  3. Lots of colorful choices. I have some catching up to do. I only have an E-body rainbow.
  4. I actually use Testors red tube cement but sparingly ONLY on a couple of hidden places with a toothpick to "tack weld" the window in place initially. I usually clamp it in place with wooden clothes pins. The next day I use Testors window maker and wick it around the perimeter of the window on one or two sides depending. On subsequent days I apply it until the entire perimeter is sealed. Window maker has no solvent reaction whatsoever, it dries crystal clear, and fills the entire gap around the window. Due to the wicking action and surface tension, it stays in the gap (and only in the gap) unless you apply an excessive amount.
  5. Nice progress. Very realistic.
  6. Good BMF is the best most durable product IF, you have a good batch of it. I too have used Testors silver (long ago) Silver sharpie sparingly, Molotow for nice defined ridges but BMF is still my favorite. The low tack super shiny sheets are admittedly a pain but, once laid and clear coated give the desired results. Back when I had the privileged of really good BMF, I found applying it to be one of the most rewarding tasks of my build. The results are well worth the effort. I have just recently received one bottle each of Green Stuff World chrome in brushable and airbrush formulas. I have not had the opportunity to try them out yet. I learned about them from Barbatos Rex YouTube video of the various chrome comparisons. Good luck in whatever you choose. One tip I learned from Steve G is to use thin line masking tape over an oversized piece of BMF before cutting. It helps produce laser straight cuts AND protect your paint from an errant blade. His results speak for themselves. I used this techniquique to cut my desired stripes in my Parafilm used to mask on the following projects. Two done and one in progress.
  7. You have done a remarkable job of a never seen (or at least very rarely seen) subject. Your tarp material is letting the quality of your build down. I have some weedblock cloth that is more to scale and will actually relax naturally. Iwould be happy to send you a piece at no charge. The photo is a sample. The Mustang is to show its relative scale.
  8. Nicely detailed. I like the tailgate, the wheels and the HEI distributor.
  9. Congratz on your Coronet, and thanks for sharing. The white Ford Galaxie has a MCCN 5-car auto transporter in the background. I can only see the back bumper but, what is pulling it?
  10. I am definitely in for this and the hardtop when it comes out.
  11. Well done so far! I completed a couple modified Freightliners last year. Did a day cab DD and a sleeper cab triple drive. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/150940-white-freightliner-coe-day-cab-dual-drive/ http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/151693-brbo-2020-triple-drive-white-freightliner-done/
  12. I'll be watching you techniques. My workshop needs a parking in front for setting up Summertime car shows. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/154551-grand-opening-of-the-american-restomod-workshop/
  13. Very well done. I like your battery terminal covers. The spare tire is a nice touch.
  14. Following. I have both this kit and the Grand Prix. I want to do a front clip swap. 2+2 front with GP rear.
  15. I may be able to help you out. I made some waterslide GT decals for my 69 Torino fastback and Cougar Eliminator. I have extras if you are interested.
  16. Thank you for sharing an update on this way cool project.
  17. Very nice 57. I like the color and the theme. Is this the Atlantis body? Do the doors open? Is the blower belt separate or is the while lettering on it a decal?
  18. Pulled off a near miracle last night. Applied two long skinny side stripe decals over previously applied long skinny decals. No rips, no wrinkles and near perfect alignment. I am finally over the hump with this one. Now on to the parts box engine for what started out as a promo. ?
  19. Thanks for sharing.
  20. Following. I have one 2nd gen built and 3 in the stash.
  21. Nice pair. I think I have one of those Olds kits.
