  1. You did a great job on the body Ray, it's unique and you won't see a lot of this concept car at the next model car contest. Well done sir!
  2. Nice project Scott, it remind me an old yard truck that was used in the late '70 to move the trailers in the yard of a company close to my home. I recall myself climbing the side step to look inside the cab... great memories! Good salvage sir, will be an interesting subject, I do love these old truck!
  3. Very beautiful pickup sir! Clean and flawless build. What did you used to detail the Chevrolet letters in the tailgate, Molotow pencil or Bare Metal?
  4. Gorgeous paint job Jeff! The colors you have chosen are perfect for this Edsel body. The Bare Metal is very well done too and just add to the beauty of this already superb work!
  5. Fantastic job Charles! Speaking of glass I make mines with Evergreen clear styrene on all my models. It's more in scale than the original kit glass and you can embedded it in the window frame by making a groove from inside the body shell.
  6. Thanks Charles! Unfortunately I can't make closer pics because the optical of my Nikon would hit the model... lol. Farce aside, I would be very happy to show it to you in person if I didn't live so far from you! Take care, Francis
  7. I did used soft aluminum craft wire. It's not as flexible as electrical solder wire but the gauge of 0.080" is perfect for 1/25 big block engine (2.00" in real life). Thanks for your sentiments about my build Charles but you have nothing to be embarrassed based on what I saw from your current project! Take care, Francis
  8. Masterful build Juergen! I'm not a big truck builder but I don't think we must be one to appreciate all the amazing work invested in this project! I raise my hat to you sir!!!
  9. Very beautiful little pickup truck Stuart! It is certainly more enjoyable for it's driving feeling than its hauling capabilities but it's short box is way too cool anyway... well done sir!!!
  10. Superb Ford Galaxie Curtis! Very beautiful and clean build!
  11. Very beautiful and well built Fairlane Bob! You do have obvious skills and good attention to the details and it pays-off at the end. Superb car that you can be proud of sir!!!
  12. Very beautiful «concept car» Kurt! We don't see a lot of these Celica around and your body modifications are very well made (well detailled WIP thread by the way). Superb and unique build that you can be proud of, well done sir!!!
  13. We can say that 7 years is a long period of time and many builders might have given up by hitting «the wall» during a long build like this but some special project need time to be completed. This car is a good example of perseverance and dedication and the final product is simply fantastic! A reference for any custom builders! I take my hat off to you sir!!!
  14. Another very interresting project in the making Charles! Based on quality of your other builds we can easily say that a lot of us will follow this one too! Thanks for sharing sir!
  15. Very nice hauler truck Jack! Beautiful Dyno Don Maverick on the platform too... would be great to see in detail all those great drag racing cars! Welcome on board sir!!!
  16. Superb paint and decal job Jason! This is a very significative car and one of the most recognizable NASCAR with this big Tide logo on the hood. Well done sir!!!
  17. Very nice job on this big Chevy Mark. You have really well captured all the details of the original 1:1 car. It's funny to see the crew at the time refueling the car and changing the tires... another world!
  18. Not an easy job to do to chop a top like this but you nailed it Glen! Your sedan delivery looks great sir!
  19. Superb job on the tracks James! Very rare subject so I'll be back to see your progress on this dozer. By the way you also have some great skills for photography! Welcome on board sir!
  20. Great craftsmanship Charles! Countless of well used working hours in front of you sir! Nice shop you have too. Is it the '65 Corvette Monogram 1/8 scale body shell?
  21. Hello everyone! I started the machining of the Lenco planetary gear cases and I will make a 3 speed version like the real one that I posted a pics in my previous thread. I found various picture of the transmission and the flanges was different and has evolved over the years. I decided to make them like the newer version even if the shape is more difficult to make than the older version (plain round flange). Furthermore, I will make the manual shift version (not the air-shift one) so I will try to make all the shifter components including the mount. This is my first ever all aluminum machined transmission so I hope you will like it... at least what I have made so far. A lot of fun in perspective... Take care, Francis Beginning of the Lenco transmission machining. This is the reverser case (last module where the output shaft show-up). One of the 3 planetary gear cases in progress. The 4 transversal grooves at 90 degrees will be for the side reinforcement ribs. Connecting plates (flanges) in progress. All 3 gear cases in progress with holes drilled for the nipples (shifter modules), side mounting support and drain/fill oil plugs. Reverser case on the milling in order to drill the bolt holes and shifter module. Reverser case details engraved using a 0.020’’ ball nose end mill.
  22. You have a FANTASTIC collection of Torino Tim, each look beautiful including the Montego and you can be proud of this nice gathering of FORDs!
  23. Thanks for your reply to my interrogations about the Air-Trax resin kits Mike. I will take it in consideration if I decided to order one. You did a great job by the way!!!
