That looks good! I love the colour, very nice clean build.

Rolling chassis all complete, on to the cab and interior next:) This being my first high parts count Semi build and hearing all the horror stories of old AMT Semi kits I was honestly expecting a nightmare build, but this has been a real pleasure to work with so far, and after some test fitting of the cab and interior I see no problems ahead. I wasn't sure how well the 34 year old decals would hold up when it's time to place them on the cab, so I test fitted the mud flap decals in case they fell apart, but they lay down just fine and stick pretty good.

These look amazing! I love Duesenberg.

Man, that's so well done. Stunning build, and I absolutely love that colour!

Excellent work on this build, great job.

I love it. It looks like it would fit well in one of those oddball 70's comedy cross country chase films!

Nice. I love the colour. I'm still waiting for these to turn up in the UK, can't wait to get started on one.

Very nice, and the shelving ain't too shabby either, haha. I need to invest in some shelving myself, all my builds are in the boxes they came in.

wow, I like that, what a crazy looking build! Why a Gremlin monster truck? That has to be the most random out there request that's ever been asked, Lol. I love it!

1969 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible

A rare as hens teeth in the UK. The MPC was the only one listed on ebay at the time and was pretty cheap. I wish I bought it now cos there isn't any available at all, then again, the GMC Astro I bought was the only one listed in the UK, so I probably would have said the same thing if I bought the Camaro convertible, Lol! -
This is looking great! What an awesome looking build.

Getting closer to the finish line now. The frame repair is filled and painted, tanks are fitted, just got one of the mud guards to fit and I can move on to the cab. I'm trying to decide now what colour to do the interior. I don't want to do black, except maybe the carpet, as it'll hide too much when it's all together, so I've narrowed it down to either.. Dark Red, Brown, Beige, or Dark Blue (not the blue in the picture, more like a navy colour) The cab will be white with light blue stripes, what would look best? let me know:)

68 Charger rear-engined late Hemi Pro-Touring Concept
doorsovdoon replied to Claude Thibodeau's topic in Model Cars
It does attract the eye nicely, especially when on something like a Charger with it's Coke bottle lines. I get that mottled effect too using silver, like fish eye effects in the paint. No matter how well I clean the parts it still happens if I go too heavy. Only happens with silver for some reason though. -

Yeah, definitely. I already have WIP thread in the Model Trucks, Big Rig section on a Kenworth Aerodyne if you want to check that out:) -

Cool, I'll be watching. I almost bought this kit the other week but decided on the GMC Astro semi instead. Look forward to seeing more. -
Amazing looking build! Perfectly built and detailed with excellent photography, you should be employed by Round2 to do their box art.
