Very nice build Sam. I’ve really developed a fondness for wagons recently. Well done! Cheers, Steve

Small update, I added the seat belts, used a small and slightly re-shaped piece of styrene rod with a slot to accept the belt. The interior door panels , dash, sub-woofer, and glass are now installed. I added a hood prop, as previously mentioned, I realize it is not factory correct but it will keep the hood open to show underhood details. I received the parts I was waiting for this afternoon, so full speed ahead. Cheers, Steve

I think most hobby shops would have them, and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen them at Hobby Lobby when I’ve been down south.

Hi Chaz, this looks great. I’m no expert on foil, but definitely, always use a brand new blade for the foil. One of my favourite tools for foiling is the pointed Tamiya “cotton swabs” , they are great for burnishing the foil into the seams and along edges. Cheers, Steve

Hi Luke, nice to see this under glass, it turned out beautiful. Black and red look great together, the black paint looks fantastic, and the monochromatic bumpers are just right. Cheers, Steve

Thank you Dennis, much appreciated sir. Hi Earl !! Obviously you have been to beautiful Victoria, it would indeed look fantastic cruising along Wharf st. What brought you to Victoria? Have you been here for Duece Days? Oh... and thanks for the compliment. Hope you enjoyed your stay in our city. This photo is from my 67 Beaumont on the Friday before the Duece days show, thought you might appreciate the bus in the photo. And yes, that is the exact colour of my model too. Cheers, Steve

That’s a beautiful build Beamerman. The rear taillight panel had to be stock for me, that was the first thing I did when I started. I don’t think the custom one looks bad, just not the look I wanted. Thanks for sharing yours! Cheers, Steve

Another fantastic build Mark. As others have said, your weathering techniques are awesome and the overall look is spot on. As Gerald H said, you are the king of wreckers! Cheers, Steve -
Hi Ray, A-HA!! that is the project that was lurking in the background of the Budweiser truck WIP thread! Now I see roles are reversed... This looks cool Ray, I will keep checking in. I have a couple of wagons in the stash, but not this one yet. Those wheels will be perfect on it. Cheers, Steve

I love them too. It’s a trend that will never get old for me. Nice to hear from someone across the globe. Thanks for looking! Cheers, Steve

Thank you Claude. My brother in law has a 67 Olds 442 in about the same colour too. I didn’t bother with trying for an exact match, just a close approximation. Obviously it must be close enough to the right colour if it brought back memories for you. Thanks for sharing that, I love those little snippets of stories that pop up all over this forum. I really enjoyed your story on Francis’s thread about painting the Harley tank for a member of Rush. What a cool memory. Cheers, Steve

There is comfort in knowing I’m not the only one. I have never been good at starting a project before one is complete. I will plan and do mock-ups, maybe choose wheels and tires, but that’s as far as I go until a current project is complete. That process will start soon, not 100% sure what will be next... 70 1/2 Camaro, 72 Jimmy, Subaru Brat, Chevy Luv..... decisions decisions!! Cheers, Steve

Hi Steve, this is looking great. Pegasus T’s would look really nice, just my opinion. Cheers, Steve -
Thank you Anton, much appreciated. To be honest, the engine was gorgeous all by itself, I just put it all together. Hi Dave, thanks for the words of encouragement. I’m getting close to being done. Still waiting for a couple of detail pieces to arrive by mail, I hope to get them tomorrow. My goal is to have it under glass in about a week. But.... I promised myself to not rush the finish, I’ve been guilty of that in the past. Cheers, Steve

Fantastic looking motor.

Hi Jim!! Not sure how I missed this build til now. As always your WIP’s are thoroughly entertaining and your work is top notch. That paint job is stunning !! Very nicely done. Did you get the blower for the flathead yet? That thing looked like it would be perfect for this build. I’ll be following now. Cheers, Steve

Excellent! I will watch for them.

DANNO !!! Checked out the web site last night, looks like you are ready to roll. This is awesome, I really enjoyed the contest last year, and will definitely participate again. Thank you to yourself and the club for hosting! You will certainly have a handful of us islanders again. Cheers, Steve
