  1. Great work here Peter. The dash looks fantastic! Cheers, Steve
  2. Hi Kurt! Nice to see this under glass. Your description of the build undersold your work. I would encourage anyone that hasn’t seen the WIP thread on this to go have a look. This is one clever build, with lots of “little” details. Thanks for sharing Kurt! Very impressive build. Cheers, Steve
  3. What’s embarrassing, is that I only have just over one hundred parts in my builds, still takes months...
  4. Hi Tim, I have had my eye on those resin bodies for a year or more. This will probably be just the nudge I need to finally buy one! I’ll be watching for sure, I would like to do a pro street version. Cheers, Steve
  5. I’m sure the total will be north of 1000, probably well North... Amazing work sir.
  6. Nice one Rusty! Is that bass wood on the sides of the cab? Steve
  7. Nice Impala Rusty. Great stance and colour, nicely detailed engine bay. Nice to see some of your builds showing up here. Cheers, Steve
  8. What bus doesn’t look cool with tinted windows?!
  9. Roger! Love your builds. The wagon will be interesting.... Cheers, Steve
  10. Hi Nigel, Well.... I am generally a muscle car guy, however... I LOVE these cars, always have. Looking forward to seeing you work your magic on this. Wheel choice is great. Hoping you will keep it low, I like low! If it is going to be curbside, have you considered adding working head and tail lights? I have one of these in my stash, this might inspire me to pull it out next, need to finish the Ol Comino first. Cheers, Steve
  11. Francis! Amazing, amazing stuff going on here.... like the others have said, running out of superlative words. The dash face is awesome... the whole truck is over the top gorgeous! Can’t wait to see it all in “one piece”. Hmmmm how many pieces are in this beast?! Cheers, Steve
  12. Hi Kurt, this was really fun to watch coming together. So many creative ideas, I will be looking back on this one a few times. The Monster cans are over the top!! Very inspiring, thanks for sharing all of the details with us. I started working on my hood prop last night for my Ol Comino project. Not something that would be factory correct on a 60’s muscle car, but I generally display my cars with hood open so I’m going with it. Great stuff!! Cheers, Steve
  13. Thanks Greg! I really like the shape too. I’m hoping to get it in paint over the next week or 2, hoping my colour choice will show the lines well. By the way, I think Ol-Colmino might stick! Thanks again for checking in. Steve
  14. Hi Bruce, nice to hear from you sir. I see your point with the curved sail panel. When I did the mock up with the bumpers on, it looks pretty sweet. Between the curved “hips”, and the curved bumpers, it doesn’t look as out of place. Thank you for the comments, much appreciated! Cheers, Steve
  15. Hi Francis and Claude, always nice to hear from my friends in Quebec! I appreciate the kind words guys, it’s coming together pretty well. Steve
  16. Very nice looking build. Great stance and nice paint work, on a somewhat rare subject. Steve
  17. Thank you David!!
  18. Hi guys, managed some desk time over the weekend and got a fair bit accomplished. It may not look like much, especially to some of you overachievers !! The good news for me is that the body and box are now one piece, it took some patience to get it to fit nice, but it’s done and looks good. Part of the day was spent modifying the tailgate to fit. I got most of the chassis bits cleaned up and painted, still have detail painting to do on those. The frame is not in the photo but it is painted gloss black now, and the modified front inner fenders are semi gloss black. Firewall will get more detail painting later. I think the body is now in final primer! I will give it a closer inspection tomorrow. The only thing I might still add is a CHMSL at top of the rear window. The hood still needs a bit more work to blend in the cowl scoop. Thanks for looking
  19. Hi Ray, great looking bus! I love seeing unusual projects like this. Maybe a titanium/charcoal grey colour for the bumpers? Just a thought. The body colour is a great choice. Cheers, Steve
  20. Hi Steve, very cool build. I like the motor you used for inspiration. For some reason I can’t see all of the photos, I’ve been having issues since the server upgrade there are now random photos I can’t see... What I see of yours looks great ?? Cheers, Steve
  21. Hi Jim, another amazing looking model sir. It is always a treat to follow along on your WIP’s, entertaining, and informative. Very nice touches throughout, I really like how the gold stripe and valve covers tie together. As someone pointed out earlier, it looks like you could go for a swim in that paint! Nice to see it finished. Cheers, Steve
  22. Hi Sam, thank you for the compliment. I am still quite happy with the overall look of the car/truck, whatever these things are. Hoping to get going on chassis assembly over the next week, and try to get the tailgate area done and then get it ready for paint. Still a little finessing to do on the body. Thanks for having a look. Cheers, Steve
  23. Ohhhhh... you might have something there. Ol-Comino...... I like that. That one might stick. Thanks Greg! Hi John, thanks for chiming in. Vista del Camino, very creative, I like that too. Do I need to raise the roof ? Thank you for the input, much appreciated! Cheers, Steve
  24. Welcome aboard Stanley. There are dozens of after market companies now. A few site to look at would be Model Car Garage, Model Round Up, and.... well just start googling and you’ll be amazed. Tons of talented and very helpful people here on this forum. Cheers, Steve
