  1. Hi Tim, this is a very creative build. Incredible craftsmanship with all the scratch building, and fitment of drivetrain etc. I really admire these types of builds. Cheers, Steve
  2. Hi Kurt, I will take some new photos and post sometime in the next week or so. Cheers, Steve
  3. These are great! I’m getting some excellent ideas. Not sure if we’re supposed to show models here or not, but I did this to one several years ago.
  4. Hello Misha, I appreciate your comments. This is a bit late, but I owe you a huge thanks. I likely would not be on this board were it not for yourself and Phil D. This all began when you and Phil announced the DSCV show back in the spring. That led me to this forum. So, thank you very much for both!! Look forward to seeing you in the new year when things normalize. Cheers, Steve
  5. 5 awesome builds Dennis, tough to pick a favourite there. Cheers
  6. What the.... a tin of cookies lasts 3 weeks in your house!!! Jim, this little truck is looking fantastic sir. I look forward to seeing what paint details you add. The interior bits look awesome. Best wishes for 2021! Cheers, Steve
  7. Excellent! I have all of those on hand. Thank you for sharing your recipe, it looks very convincing. All the best for 2021, look forward to seeing more of your builds. Cheers, Steve
  8. Hi Dennis, another beauty! I enjoyed the WIP thread of this one. Awesome build, love the stance, very nicely detailed. I can’t remember if it was mentioned in the WIP, what paint did you use on the wheels, it’s spot on. Cheers, Steve
  9. Thank you all for the kind words. Looking forward to another year of building, sharing and learning. So much great stuff, and great people here. Cheers, Steve
  10. haha !! Good one Gareth, that put a smile on my face. Hi Alan, thanks for the kind words... or are you just hungry?! Cheers, Steve
  11. Hi Steve, very nice fleet indeed! Long and low, excellent combination! Hard to pick a fav, all are very nice. Happy holidays from the west coast! Cheers, Steve
  12. Hi Pete, all are beautiful and well detailed, personally, the panel truck stands out the colour and finish is stunning. Cheers, Steve
  13. Hi Christopher, first, nice work on the photoshop! That definitely changes the look. I may look at some bondo in that area, still toying with a few options, or it may stay as is... Thank you for sharing that visual, much appreciated. Cheers, Steve

    My 2020

All great builds, but love the Mod top. Cheers, Steve
  15. Hi Steve, safe to say you inspire us all. Absolutely beautiful and incredibly well detailed, realistic builds. By the way, thanks for the info on the embossing powder. I had used black for carpet before and had no idea all the colours it came in until reading one of your posts. Your interiors are quite simply, amazing. Thanks for the inspiration! Cheers, Steve
  16. Hi Mark, you make beautiful “junk”. Hard to pick a favourite, but I’m leaning towards the ‘59 Elky. Cheers, Steve
  17. Hi Roger! This is really coming together nicely. I love your builds. I agree with Gareth, I think the bumpers might look better “cleaned up”. Regardless of what you decide, it will look amazing. Bring on the white... Cheers, Steve
  18. Hello Claude! Yes, there was going to be a few “reactions” extending wheel base on chassis, inner fenders.... All doable, but maybe not necessary. I always appreciate everyone’s input, that has been one of my favourite parts of this forum. Steve
  19. Hi Mark, thanks for the compliment. I look forward to seeing your next build. Cheers, Steve
  20. Hi guys, So.... spent a half hour or so at the desk looking at the rear of the project. After playing with some possible options, I did what I should have done first. I taped the ‘68 body and the ‘66 bodies together. The area from back of wheel wells to bumper is pretty close to identical. I don’t disagree with Dale or Bill, but really, I think the dimensions look pretty good. After some back and forth, I am going to leave it as is. I do really appreciate the input though. Hopefully some more updates in the next few days. Cheers, Steve
  21. Hi all, this is my first year on the forum. I see that the thing to do is post our 2020 builds... The hearse was started in 2019 but finished in 2020 (that’s the .5) I have really enjoyed the sharing, the friendships, the knowledge, sense of humour, and the incredible craftsmanship on the forum. Thank you all!! Happy Holidays !! Cheers, Steve
  22. Hi Oliver, all of them are beautiful, but as many of the others have said, that Torino is spot on! Cheers, Steve
  23. Ok, you two trouble makers have got me thinking now.... I definitely don’t want to shorten the body, move the rear wheel openings back 2-4 scale inches. Hmmmm?? I will do some layout and play around with that. What’s a little more fill/sand/prime repeat. Thanks for the input!
  24. Francis! Hello friend, and a very merry Christmas to you. I have been following this but not commenting always. I hope that you know how incredible this “work” is. Hobbies aren’t work, so that’s not quite the right word... Your incredible craftsmanship inspires us all. It is a real treat to watch yourself, Tim C, Claude T among others build such amazing works of art. I don’t care how long it takes, I can’t wait to see this beast “under glass”. I love the barbs that you and your friend Claude toss at each other, signs of a true, friendly relationship, and mutual respect. Cheers, Steve
