  1. Very nice and so realistic looking. I wonder, is this paint job harder to do than one you are trying to look showroom new?
  2. Wow! Excellent work on the details, down to the red "rubber" at the bottom of the air cleaner. What does the slight yellow coloring represent on the tie rods?
  3. Seems as if the wheel design was inspired by the Iron cross symbol.
  4. I like the effect when you do that for your builds. I wonder if you would get an even more realistic effect, if you attached the chassis when painting the body and let the over-spray occur that way.
  5. Really cool project. I just hope JFK does not mind.
  6. Looks like it may work, with some TLC.
  7. Looks great! Nice foil job.
  8. Coming along nicely. Been enjoying this thread. Nice idea for the window panes.
  9. Hi everyone, My next project is going to be this 1930 Model A pickup, which I intend to modify into a "Hotrod". As it comes with no engine, I plan to try and stuff a 1/25 scale engine made from extra parts, into the 1/32 frame. Should be a neat trick, but I think it will fit. I'll have a bit of mock detail to surgically remove first.
  10. Interior really looking good.
  11. As the kit does not have a brake cylinder & power assist, are you planning to add? If so, where from?
  12. I was thinking the same thing.
  13. Thanks for the tip!
  14. So, A bit more progress. I finished the body paint job, with exception of a bit of touch-up work followed by clear coat and polishing. Will try my hand at foiling after that. Tried once before, but I shake like crazy, so will be a challenge. A few trial fittings: I'm going to have to relocate the Tachometer. Or punch a hole in the windshield. JK I'll have to work on seating the body on the frame a little better, as there is a gap at the front of the dashboard. Hard to tell in my crappy photos, but I think the color combinations worked out well, interior / exterior. Although now I'm thinking that I should have gone green over black. Maybe overthinking.
  15. Nice work on both. I have a soft spot for the Corvair. Many moons ago, I owned one. Did not look as nice as that though ?
  16. Nice work on that interior!
  17. My first car was a 1967 Corvair beater. Original paint was a light green color. When I got it, had black and rust colored primer over most of it. Leaked oil like a sieve, so could not use the heater in winter, as it was heated via the engine manifold. S..tty car but I loved it. Some day I'll build the same kit, regardless of issues.
  18. Thanks guys for the kind comments. The cloth seats took a few attempts before I got it to my liking. I used pieces from an old pair of thin PJs.
  19. Nice job. Like the color combo.
  20. Wow! Looks real nice, like just off the showroom floor.
  21. Lots of progress on engine, chassis and interior. Finished up some wiring and a bit of plumbing Interior is almost complete, aside from a bit of touch-up. A bit sloppy on the dash, but not bad considering my shakiness. And for your reading pleasure, I threw in a couple magazines.
  22. Another good tip. Thanks Thomas.
  23. I always liked the 1:1s or these old Tbirds. Looking forward to your build progress.
  24. Painted lower half of body. Ended up with a couple spots of spydering, which surprised me, since I primed an lightly sanded first. Sanding them down now and will repaint. I do like the color though.
  25. Thanks for the tip slusher. Yes, this kit does have other issues. For one, there is no brake cylinder. I'm going to try and make my own.
