  1. You're half way around the world from the US, and the accuracy is more spot on than many builders (including myself) do! Thank you for sharing that with us!
  2. Sharp Ghia!
  3. What got me into model kit hoarding so many years ago. Paid $140-
  4. Might help you save on keyboarding time! Add what you have
  5. I might build the Bronco Sheriff's truck from "Sons Of Anarchy".
  6. JUST RIGHT! Proves that "Less, is more".
  7. Personally, I think the entire operation, kept whole, is just too much of an endeavor for one person (or even a couple) to take over. Unless they have experience doing the same thing, under the same circumstances. I doubt anyone out there can step up to that plate. The best thing for the Modelhaus, is to see it divided into categories. Such as, parts. Another category would be complete kits. Maybe another for wheels and tires. Whatever would work. Because the alternative is, bye-bye. No more resto parts. And maybe that will happen? Maybe as they start winding down and finishing their order fulfillment, they can optimize a plan for the inventory? It would be a shame to see it go nowhere. In their case, part of retirement planning, is to sell off the assets. So again, a big "Thank You" to Don & Carol. Sure gonna miss them.
  8. Kind of limited for positive locating of the rear axle. Anyone have any photos of built chassis?
  9. First gen. Bronco's were made from 1966 to 1977. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Bronco
  10. Wheelbase: 124” or 138” Overall length: 186.8” (124” wb), 206.8” (138” wb) Overall width: 70.3” There's the numbers. Figure out the diff in wheelbase for 1/25" scale. Here is a side shot. Print it out in 1/25" scale, use as a template. Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.
  11. Your photo shows the mid length Econoline. I need one, too! It will take two kits. Use the rear doors from the second kit to make the side doors, I haven't figured out yet where to cut and section the two bodies for a longer wheelbase.
  12. It does indeed appear to be flat spotted. Good thing I am a model builder, and can fix this with a minimal amount of filler on the roof. Then I'll use some sanding sticks to get the right shape. Won't be too thick. It's just plastic.
  13. Dig the idea of a Halloween truck! Not quite Halloween, I did an "Autumn" theme some years ago. Next up is a Christmas truck, as well.
  14. Suddenly, the Striped Tomato looks interesting! LQQkin' good!
  15. This is all I found saved in my files. I'm sure it came from here. Can someone share a link?
  16. He's not asking you to sign any papers here. It's just one of those friendly "conversation makers" that some of us do.
  17. This was round 2 (effort, not the brand) Sprayed over my first Tamiya paint. I used Iso alcohol, wiping it dry. Second attempt went great!
  18. Just happy to see the kit. Stock, or PO. We builders will make it what we want! Do a motor swap, update the rolling stock & suspension. Maybe even top it with the PoPo stuff? Anything is possible.
  19. How-to Q.... so I have model body all taped up. I've already painted the woody parts, masked that off to paint the majority of the body. But, I got fingerprints, and even some tape residue on one spot. What's the best way to wash & prep for color coat, without saturating it in a sink full of water?

    eldorado.

Awesome build! Color choice- everything- just right. Want to start the one I have, if I still have it!
  21. What I saw on the road today- MY CAR! Fresh out of the body shop, wearing new paint on the hood and front fender, and headlights wet sanded & buffed. So happy!
  22. I wish they would tool up a Delahaye but they would insist it also get shared as a police car, a tuner, and three different engine choices.
  23. I'm glad this group has a sense of humor! An extra "Atta-BOY!" for everyone!
