  1. Amen to that. Of all the "important" things in my life, models are not one of them.
  2. Wickedly cool!
  3. ...and any other kit manufacturer out there. Sometimes it seems as though, as builders comment about why certain issues exist in the industry, that it is possible to lose sight of what we are dealing with. I speak of office staff, management, engineering, etc. There are no Madison Avenue office high rise locations. No occupying the entire top floor of a skyscraper. So an idea, if you may: how about a photo of your staff? No, I'm not talking about the people that run the injection machines, box the parts, do the plating, etc. I mean the folks that plan, make the decisions, do the paperwork, and... deal with us builders. Photoshop in any part timers, and contracted help. I don't think they would exactly fill up a Holiday Inn ballroom.
  4. OK, the Corvette... NOBODY WAS HURT. Well, except for the pride of the guy unloading it. The Mustang, that looks to be quite possibly a fatal, and there is nothing funny about that. The Lemans, that happened at a "Cars & Coffee" event. Nobody was inside the Lemans at the time. I don't know about the driver of the other car, other than to say it was a female.
  5. Should always be cut, snipped, or sawed off. Never broken away.
  6. What Tom said. We are not the center of this hobby. Nothing revolves around us.
  7. Jeez. You guys that live.... in "populated" areas, get to see all the cool stuff right away. We rarely see anything high end around here. All the old money here drives Volvos. Although the yellow Aventador I saw this past weekend in Nashua was an eye popper. Don't know when I will see an i8 around here. BTW, nice yellow one currently on page 2 of "1:1 Car Reference Pictures"
  8. BIG scale. One of thirteen.... http://www.carscoops.com/2015/06/porsche-selling-919-hybrid-11-model-for.html
  9. One of these days, I must lower that light bar.
  10. Rear plate and their lights fold down on the tailgate of our 2004 Subaru Brat, although seldom used. So the whole concept of tailgates with fold down items is real.
  11. You are correct; the Eldorod was not on the original list of... what? Just one month ago, or so? If that list can change, so can the results. Will Revell do two all new kits? What about the other kits? Or will they produce the minimum, then claim that "the sales were not there"? Just wondering. Been let down before.
  12. I voted for the Eldorod and Grand Master.
  13. Paging Túlio Lazzaroni He built a few.... http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=82485
  14. Luckily, that rear window would be a flat plane. You could make a pattern and cut it out of.... almost any clear flat plastic. They also sell it by the sheet in well stocked hobby shops.
  15. Diggin' it! In this case, to warp a hot rod into something it's not supposed to be, very kewl! Hope it gets a proper themed paint. F1 is not my thing, however. What team had a black, or dark paint scheme? Perhaps JPS?
  16. I have been wanting to build an Uncertain T for a long time. I have no intention of waiting for a 3D print or buying the resin copy that floats around out there on the interwebs. The body is primarily flat stock. The corners have some funky radius, but not impossible to duplicate. The cowl, that can be sourced from other kits. Frames can be scratch built. And the nailhead, thank you for that '29 Ford tip. Someone once did me a favor, and laid out the body panels of an unbuilt Monogram U/T, and traced them onto paper. It's around here somewhere. It's only plastic. And 100% accuracy doesn't concern me on such a strange kustom show rod. Ron Savoie, thank you for sharing the rare original version of the Uncertain T!
  17. Ex-Lambrecht 1963 Impala: 32 ‘before and after’ photos of an 11-mile time capsule - See more at: http://www.oldcarsweekly.com/blogs/under-the-hood/ex-lambrecht-1963-impala#sthash.82d2uoLB.dpuf Great reference photos!
  18. Pictures look fine to me! Of course, I fell out of my chair looking at them! BTW, most photo hosting sites have a "rotate" feature in their "EDIT" function. Nice build!
  19. Looks tasty!
