  1. Nice looking restoration. That Tamiya paint looks slick. Well done.
  2. That's a good looking Caddy. Did you have any of the sheet left after doing all that foil work ☺ The color looks great. NIce job.
  3. Your doing great with the new camera. Nice looking old school cars. The nail polish finish looks great. I like the blue double nickel.
  4. Great looking little Mini Cooper. The color looks nice.
  5. Nice looking Chrysler. The color looks good.
  6. NIce looking 36 Ford project. The white walls give it that old school look and the slotted mags give it the Hot Rod look. I like the mags.
  7. Thanks Dave. We don't really go for the trophys but it's nice when you win one, or two. We like the Hot Rod seen, all the cars/trucks, and swapping lies with other fellows.
  8. Our local Walmart doesn't normally carry much in the way of models. I'll have to check the next time I'm there.
  9. How many remember these from back in the day. I think a lot of guys I knew back them built one.
  10. Thanks Carl. Wife and I took our 1949 Chevy pickup 1:1 to a car show yesterday about an hour from home and we won two trophys. One for Majors choice and one for best of show. It's got me in a good mood so I'm getting on the 41 Willy's this morning.
  11. Like you have said Bob and others as well. Just need to walk away for a few days. In the famous words of Forest Gump, Sh*t happens. Thanks for the encouragement fellows.
  12. Thanks Dave. I see you found it. Thanks for the comments.
  13. Thanks for posting this Brian. I have the Motor Trend channel so I'll look it up.
  14. Thanks guys. I'm taking the weekend off. May take a look at it on Monday.
  15. Well....I had a major setback this morning. I worked for a long time this morning trying to get the body to fit down on the chassis and it just did not want to go. The longer I worked at it the more frustrating it got. I finally pushed to hard and snapped the rear wheels and brakes, broke the axle, broke off the door panel and I don't know what all else. I also managed to mess up the paint job and destroy one of the decals. I gathered up all the parts and threw it all in a plastic tub and kicked it under the work bench. I am so ticked off .
  16. That is one kewl looking Caddy. That color looks fantastic. I like the cargo in the bed. Nice job.
  17. Nice looking Ford. The color combo looks great. Job well done.
  18. That turned out great Jason. The red looks nice and the logo on the side looks pretty kewl. Nice job on the restoration.
  19. That may be a tough one. Someone else may have better imformation than me but I believe for the car/truck (216, 235, and maybe the 261) it was called a Blue Gray and there were many variations of the color. The original engine color was a very dark grey with maybe a tinge of blue and can look black under low light conditions. I would do a search for 1950 Chevy engines and find a pic with the color you like then head to your local automotive parts store for a rattle can.
  20. That is one sharp looking ride. The color just pops. Nice job.
  21. From one Bob to another...your builds look really nice. Great job.
  22. This is really coming along since the last time I checked in.
