  1. Nice and clean looking 57 Zack. I like the interior. Great job.
  2. That looks awful. They lost money on all the extra plastic.
  3. Should be a sharp truck James. Ill be watching.
  4. Looking pretty kewl. The stance is nice.
  5. I found some other pics that show the block and heads being the same as the body. Think that's what I may do. Need to think about it.
  6. I'm looking at the engine on Big John's 41 Willy's and it looks like the block is painted black so that's what I'm going with.
  7. First order of business was to cut the snap tabs off the hood. I thought about cutting some pieces off the tree and gluing in the body to fill the cut outs but I elected to fill the openings in the body with Tamiya putty. If for some reason this doesn't work out I can sand it down and try something different.
  8. Really nice looking little grocery getter.
  9. Carl......since this is my thread, a little hijacking never hurts when there's good info about paint on a Willys involved. I've leaned a lot about painting on this forum but have yet been able to lay down a slick paint job like Mike's black Willys. I'm going to apply all that I've learned on this build and like my granddaddy use to say, hope for the best and expect the worst.
  10. Nice looking Ford. Reminds me of Bonnie and Clyde with that Thompson on the passenger side.
  11. Keep plugging away at it Mike. You'll get it.
  12. Nice looking Cuda Michelle. I like that berry pink.
  13. That black always looks good Mike. Love it.
  14. Thanks for that comments Gerald and Jim.
  15. Thanks for the comments Ray, Dave, Mike.
  16. Finally finished this one. Had a few bumps along the way but all in all things went pretty good. The pickup is setting a little higher than I would have liked but I think it turned out ok. Thanks to the fellows here on the forum that told me about the dash needing to be moved rearward. I didn't put the spare tire in the carrier underneath as I was going to put it in the bed but decided against that as well. Like on my 1:1 49 Chevy pickup I carry my spare tire in my wallet.....it's called AAA. I had trouble with the bmf not wanting to stick and it was a job getting it to look exceptable for me. As always let me know whatya think good or bad. This is how I learn so let me have fellows ☺
  17. Finished pics have been posted in "Under Glass".
  18. I searched online for a while until I found one for a good price.
  19. When I got out in the garage this morning the first thing I see is a letter missing on the tailgate. I had an extra so an easy fix. I'm done with the engine bay and moving on to final assembly.
  20. Nice mods. Looking good so far.
