  1. I had to re-paint the lower portion of the hood. After pulling the part out of the 91% alcohol and cleaning it I shoot it with Rust-Oleum flat gray and I noticed something went wrong. I first thought the 91% alcohol may have had a reaction to the plastic. I did a test on a piece of wood and got the same results. Looks like there was something wrong with the paint. Never in all my years have a seen this. I primed the part with an older can of the same paint I had and all is well. When it comes to paint....I seem to always have some type of issue going on.
  2. That's a mean looking Cuda. Love that color.
  3. Now that looks pretty kewl. Nice job. I use to take my son to the 4H center all the time to watch the Monster trucks and the truck & tractor pulls.
  4. Nice looking El Camino Steve. That LS looks right at home in the business end.

    283 FI engine

Fred....looks like that 283 display would take up a lot of space. Do you plan on putting it together at some point? I'd like to see one of these 283 engines all together.
  6. Nice looking 69 Cuda. Great work on the build. I remember back when I was in the service I'd see these Cuda's all over the base as they were really popular at the time.
  7. Thanks MIke. It's been a long road on this one with all the honey do's the wife has been throwing at me ☺
  8. I guess I was thinking you had yours finished. I saw that kit when I was on the hunt, just decided on the Big John Mazmanain kit since I saw him race his 41 Willys.

    64 GTO Hardtop

    That's one bad looking GTO.
  18. Nice looking cop car.
  19. Got around to doing a dry fit of the cab and box on the frame. I worked at it for a while and saw the corners of the wing window glass was partially covering the slots where the dash locks in. I took my dremel tool and cut the corners of the wing window glass to fully uncover the slots for the dash but that wasn't enough. As a couple fellows had mentions the dash needed to be moved back so I enlarged the slots for the dash toward the rear. I got the cab to go on but the dash will not fit up to the glass. There is still a gap. I can use a small paint brush going through the window to move the dash around but it will not fit up to the windshield. I have not glued the dash in yet as I'm kinda at a stand still deciding on just what to do at this point.
  20. I did do some spoon test with the Krylon "Looking Glass" paint and the Tamiya TS-30 Silver Leaf paint. One of these two could be an option for the chrome on the engine. Just trying to tone down that bright shiny "Toyesh" look of the plastic chrome.
  21. What a change. Looking good so far.
  22. I don't build these big rigs but boy does that look pretty kewl. I really like the older ones.
  23. Nice color. The stripes really set it off. Looking good.
  24. Never thought about bulding one of these big rigs but man does it look pretty kewl. Nice work so far.
