  1. I juste received the extra sets from Jason, scaled at 17mm which to me is the sweet spot to represent a 15 inch wheel. Picture below shows comparison to the HRM wheels. The HRM are mounted on their dedicated tire and Jason's wheels are mounted on 1/24 Revell Cobra 427 tires. Thank you Jason, these wheels are superb. And the spinners are perfect!
  2. What troubles me the most about this is that you were just 4 years old in the mid seventies. Lucky Sonny! ???
  3. Thank you Phil for the kind words. Building mine was quite the head scratching experience but in the end it is possibly my favorite build. Looking forward to seeing your work on this. A challenging but beautiful kit.
  4. OK Tomasz, these pictures of the real car are wonderful but now can we see the 1/12 model of it? Kidding aside this is truly incredible work.
  5. Absolutely gorgeous! 10/10
  6. No need for an apology Noel. all that discussion is quite instructive while I am in the research phase for the Alfa project. I should have posted when ready to start building but I could not hold off showing this promising kit. Mr. Pinto sent me a mail (through E-bay) when I purchased this kit. It was portrayed as the 34 winner but he simply offered I choose which version I would prefer 1931, 32, 33 or 34 LM winner) and kit it for me. I am sure that if you contact Mr. Pinto he will get you that 251.
  7. The tank looks really good. You painted over the rivet transfers right? I've been looking for a way to do rivets so thanks for showing this method.
  8. I just built two. E-type as raced at Le Mans in 62 and a Porsche GT1.
  9. Wonderful looking model Dave. May I suggest to add panel line to accentuate the door & hood openings and perhaps a wash on the wheels to add a bit of depth effect?
  10. Looks good Hanjo, and what a beautiful subject to build a model of. Any thoughts on what you want to do about wheels?
  11. Hi Jeremy, Steven's method may be more aligned to what you want to achieve but here's my way of doing it. Perhaps a bit too rusty for your needs though. Over time I have simplified the product list to what is shown here. All acrylic stuff. I paint the chassis various colors in a matte finish, liberal use of oily earth wash, Mix of Vallejo rust texture mixed with either dark flesh or red paint to get lighter/darker rust effects and then brushing in some tan or ochre pigments.
  12. Thank you for sharing this Steve. Oil, rust and dust. simple but very effective.
  13. That's a beautiful build Hanjo. The detailing seen everywhere adds so much realism to the model. Can't wait to see the rest of it.
  14. Yes Gary, hand laced wheels. The best looking wheels I've ever seen. Andy and Rich, thanks for the advice. This resin stuff is all new to me so I'm taking in all the info I can get.
  15. Very beautiful build and your photo setup is outstanding.
  16. Awesome. Beautiful detailing and perfect finishes.
  17. A new project. Taking this slowly with much research required about the specifics of this car. This will be my very first resin build so it comes with a mix of excitement and some worries on how to proceed. How to prepare surfaces, paints, glue etc. For now a picture of the subject and unboxing of the kit. Let the research begin. Advice about working with resin welcome!
  18. Oh Andy, you really have to take your act on the road. Endless possibilities. I love that Thank... Ok I guess I'm not joining the act... ?
  19. Looking forward to it. Hope you go for a racing version.
  20. Looks better and better Andy. That semi-curbside is getting so much detailing you might as well fabricate a complete chassis. No pressure but...
  21. Bonjour Francois, This fellow PQ resident is following your awesome Bentley work with great interest. I plan to do a 1/24 version so some upgraded parts from your shop would be welcome. For sure wheels to start with. salut!
  22. A real beauty and I agree, so nice to see a non red Ferrari. Color combo is stunning.
  23. Love it Bill. We learn something everyday don't we?
  24. Wow, that paint looks like it's still wet! It is a big car. I once saw a 1/18 Royale die cast and it looked like it was a 1/12. Huge!
