Gosh I'm so jealous of your jo-han kits ! ? Great job on this restauration. great color choice.

Superb job on the mercury, I like this kit both for the subject and ease of assembly.

Thanks Helmut. I rarely use anything else for the bodies. Tamiya spray lacquers either TS or AS maybe a little pricy but they do work, no guessing. They lay down very smooth. I also use their primer which is very thin and smooth. For custom colors I use their acrylic bottles clear coated with TS13. I also use different paint for interiors or engine but for the bodies I use Tamiya and occasionally Alclad. What really works for me is to apply 3 to 4 mist coat and leave rest for a day then I apply 3 or 4 coats of successively heavier coats. regards,

A newly tooled kit from Heller. Rare subject and ease of assembly, I could not resist. Builds up nicely, the multi piece body doesn't have fit issues although you will have to paint before final assembly, like the samba bus from RoG . I wanted to represent the box art, not an exact match but close enough. I think I will have to make a French market background for the mounting French cars I am building. These new Heller kits are a nice departure from their forbearers. They are well engineered and finely molded. My French car holy grail is the Citroen DS19 from Ebro but the one I found are way out of my budget. I have never seen a Heller DS19 in 1/24 scale. anyway, thanks for looking and keep on gluing!

Awesome looking Chevelle Tim. You made good use of 3d printing. Very cool engine and wheels.

Thanks guys, glad you like it. Thanks Steve, I really tried to fit that rear window but it would not fit either way on top or under so I did my best to fit it there without cutting it, clear plastic is so brittle. The monogram firebird kit does no have this problem the rear window just sits perfectly flush to the lid. Thank you guys I appreciate your nice comments.

That's one sweet looking ride you got there. That black is awesome. I dig it.

Built box stock. Nice kit easy to build but my only gripe is the rear window fit, it should fit flush with the body. I did not want to mess with a clear part to try to fit so I left it as is. Otherwise, I'm satisfied how it turned out. Paint is clear red over Tamiya silver leaf. Accent color is Tamiya titanium gold. as always , thanks for looking.
