Kit source for 1/25 70-71 GTO Judge spoiler?
Casey replied to Matt T.'s topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
The 1/25 AMT '69 Hurts/Olds Cutlass has a rear spoiler which is close, but not quite exactly the same from what I recall. The circa-1969 AMT ACCellerator Corvette kit has a rear spoiler with the correct shaped end caps (or close, they are still a bit thick), but the spoiler would need to be widened and thinned, and new pedestals added: -
I highly doubt it. The "chopped top" wording seems intentionally specific to me, indication only one building option. It's essentially the custom/chopped coupe body version from the AMT 1925 Ford Double T kit, and considering Round2 reissued the Double T kit in 2008, I can't blame them for essentially splitting the Double T kit in two, and offering each separately now.

As Rob mentioned, a Tuned Port Intake and aftermarket wheels (ten hole American Racing Outlaw(?) wheels were optional: Typical Monogram '80s kit-- body is mostly accurate, and it looks like an '86 Monte Carlo SS sitting on the shelf, but has simplified (but still separate from the frame/floorpan) suspension front and rear, with the '70s era Goodyear GT Radial tires (which debuted in '78 or so?) as the only included tires.

1/25 Revell '29 Model A Roadster 2'n'1

Stevens has a (minor) update on the release date: RMX-4463 1/25 1929 Model A Roadster (ETA 2020) -

Same basic kit, but none of the optional performance parts ("mag" wheels, intake manifolds, front and rear custom bumpers and roll pans, etc.) are included in the Fire Chief version. Here's a good look at the original box and instruction sheet: https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/automotive-cars--pi/chevrolet/1961-1970/amt-1970-chevrolet-1/?view=roll#10

1) Round2 has current license to release Hurst branded items 2) Model King reissued this very kit a few years ago, so it needs little in the way of repair/$$ investment 3) No other '66 Barracuda/Valiant models readily available 4) It's kinda cool looking, even as a pseudo early Funny Car 5) Fools like me will buy one just for the box art

Since Round2 is correctly packaging this re-issue under the AMT label, one can only hope they use the above box once again.

History of Monogram's Squarebody GM Pickups
Casey replied to Fabrux's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
There is no Stepside-specific bumper that I have seen in any of the Monogram (now Revell) 1/24 '73-'80 Chevy/GMC C/K series kits, only the bumpers found in the recent '76 Stepside and '78 GMC Big Game Country Pickup (Fleetside) kits: Looking at the box art from previous issues, you can see how far the rear bumper sticks out beyond the sides of the Stepside box: The Monogram GMC Jimmy and Chevy Blazer kits include bumpers with rub strips, so no idea if that is correct for a Fleetside or not. -

The just released 1976 K-series Sport Pickup kit does. -
And the headlight bezels should be larger, too, but being molded as one with the headlight lenses makes for even more correction work. Ideally, the chrome part of the bumper/grille piece would've been molded separately from the inner grille opening piece(s), but that whole 20/20 hindsight thing applies here again. For sure. The box art was exciting to me as a ten year-old, and decals were a big part of the appeal-- the bolder the better. Lift-off roof panel and sidepipes were all the rage then, and MPC was quick to capitalize on those 1:1 automotive trends. With three unique engines included, it's hard to complain too much, despite the simplified chassis and basic tub-style interior. Hopefully the reason Round2 cancelled(? delayed?) the reissue is to clean things up a bit and once again include the turbine engine option.

Looks like the MPC '69 Firebird kit shared the optional turbine engine option with the MPC '69 Camaro, and probably more? There must've been some sharing or at least insert swapping between the Pontiac and Chevy F-bodies at MPC in order to explain the 1983 reissue of the MPC '69 Camaro which included both the Pontiac V-8 and OHC inline six-cylinder engines (see last image below): 1983 issue MPC '69 Camaro SS instruction sheet page, showing the distinctive Pontiac V-8 and OHC six-cylinder engines:

Apparently it's too much to ask about them all in one topic, in the, you know, QUESTION & ANSWER section. A specific question about an engine's source?...I wish there was a specific place to ask about that... Model Building Questions and Answers Do you have a specific modeling question? Wondering how to...? Need help? Suggestions? Looking for answers? Ask here. -
Lindberg released a few kits in Coca-Cola themed packaging, as did RC2, pre-Round2. There's really nothing new about this phenomenon, save for maybe the sheer volume this time around:
