Race Motor Replicas (RMR) is owned and run by Ron Andrews. Is Resin Model Ranch (RMR) also owned and run by Ron Andrews? Maybe the acronym was kept the same for business purposes and the only DBA was changed?

True, but one version does it with more detailed and considerably more parts. Which version is preferable is up to the end user to decide. but it's always good to know your options.

Note that the above is a Revell-Monogram era instruction sheet, and represents the restored/re-created Road Agent kit, which differs significantly from the original:

Side marker reflectors - why paint them?
Casey replied to vamach1's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Sorry, but that adhesive backed stuff doesn't pass the eye test, at least for me. The transparent red and amber side marker lenses are prismatic in texture on the inside surface, which is very difficult to replicate in scale. These look too flat and blah to me, whereas the real lenses have a subtle texture which is visible through the thickness of the lens. Plus, the sharp edges do not look right, either. I think this material might work with a few tweaks, but not quite realistic as is. -

$27.99 w/free shipping on eBay, and that's not the only listing. There are plenty available.

Yes. There is no problem with it, really, other than people like to mention it's inaccuracies. Now, many of those criticisms are fair and deserved, but again, unless you're part of the passionate fringe of builders, those niggles may not matter much. It's up to each builder to decide what they find acceptable, and proceed (or end) there. Considering it's the only 1/25 or 1/24 scale '56 Chevrolet Bel Air Sport Coupe available, there's no other choice for an out of the box model. While people like to suggest other options and modifications, some overlook the differences between Sedans and Coupes, thinking many things are interchangeable, when they in fact, are not, or may not be-- the "glass" for instance. Here's the review topic from the last time it was re-issued:

I thought " ? no way" when I read that, then I found this: Features Authentic factory stock type wheels and tires or outrageous large diameter spoked rims with low profile rubber tires. Detailed V-8 engine with single 4 bbl. carb or fuel injected induction systems. Tampo printed black window edges. Multiple Stock and Custom Decal options. Molded in white, transparent red and clear with chrome plated parts and soft black tires ?

The prior "HEAVY CHEVY" reissue in the Original Art series a few years includes the custom Cibie Euro-style rectangular headlight lenses between the 'bridges' which connect the windshield and rear window, as seen on the box bottom: *edit* Separate headlight lenses are not included (see post below). The red lenses are to be used in the roof bar mounted flashers.
