I just noticed I did not have the potion to edit several recent posts of mine. Has the edit function been changed, and limited to a certain time frame/window?

Coming in 2019: AMT 1151 -- 1/25 Dyno Don Nicholson's Mercury Cyclone Eliminator II Funny Car Something old or something new, regarding the box art? The most recent reissue: Here's the instruction sheet for a previous, generic "Mercury Cyclone Funny Car", but same basic kit with a heavily altered wheelbase, Ford 427 SOHC "Cammer" engine, etc: http://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/917/amt-6766-mercury-cyclone-funny

I don't recall seeing a firm street address for MPC, but happened upon this MPC '64 Corvette instruction sheet: The building is now T.M. Smith Tool International Corporation.

IMC model car promo poster!

I'm guessing this Day-Glow poster offer will not be included inside the forthcoming 1/25 MPC '69 Firebird Convertible kit. -

Chevy Truck Dog Dish Hubcaps Kit Source?
Casey replied to Casey's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
You can't hotlink the images from that website, but they are saved and uploaded here: They appear to be the same, but I'v never seen those particular hubcaps in either a kit, nor available from the aftermarket. -

AMT/ERTL 64.5 Mustang 1/16 scale
Casey replied to martin9428's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
http://cs.finescale.com/fsm/modeling_subjects/f/4/t/157254.aspx There are multiple YouTube videos, too, but most are poor quality. Try a Google search using "AMT 1/16 64 Mustang" as the search term. -
Couldn't quote, got the 404 error. For the front wheels, are you using AMT '49 Ford (from Rep & Mins?) wheels or the five-slot fronts from the MPC Vega?...or something else entirely?

I don't think that's how it works with Round2. I believe they produce a certain number of a particular kit, say 5,000, then send them to either larger mass retailers or distributors, who send them on to smaller sellers. If the kit is a good seller, there will be few available within a short time period from when the kit was first available on the retail level. The longer it's available to easily find and purchase at the retail level, and the more which as still available after many months have passed since the kit's initial release, the poorer its sales numbers. All this is assuming the same number of kits produced, so maybe not 100% accurate, but we've all seen some kits sell out quickly and become difficult to find, while others are easily found and usually for less than their original retail price. Since Round2 only does one run (IIUC) of each particular kit at a time, they would need to set the molds up in the molding machine a second time if they want to produce more kits. I suspect this is what happened with the AMT AMC Gremlin kits, having three distinct production runs between the three variants, with some minor changes between each. If the Nova kit is now difficult to find, after being released in September 2016 (so street date maybe two months later or so), I bet it was a decent seller: There are two available on eBay right now for $23, too, and even one in Canada.

Ah, now I see the roof modification is called out in the instructions from the T-241 Street N' Strip issue: The above model lacks the side window-within-a-window...s(?) as shown on the box art and on Rex's build, below: Were the windows-within-a-window 'removed'/smoothed off at some point?

AMT '64 Buick Riviera: What's cool about these geegaws, is you can mix them between kits, too: Tape recorder, fire extinguisher, animal (squirrel?), telephone base, receiver, helmet, face mask, oil and gas cans, torque wrench, and tool box, all found in the AMT '63 Chevy II Nova Wagon kit: -

Just following up to confirm Mark's comment. The caps on the right are from an AMT '61 or '62 Chevy pickup kit.
