Post an ad in the Wanted section, with a picture of the part you need. You never know who might have it...

I wonder what happened to the motorcycle parts? Looks like they are scattered about, instead of being grouped together:

And in the previously mentioned AMT '25 T Fruitwagon kit: AMT '64 Corvette Sting Ray Coupe: Tera-Tork wheels from the AMT '66 Corvette Sting Ray Fast-Back:

They don't want to get stuck with a ton of dead stock, so it's a guessing game on their part regarding how many kits to produce in the production run. If the kit sells well, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Nova Street Machine appear in the next few years:

I assume almost everyone has at least one set of the oxy/acetylene tank halves from the AMT '53 Ford pickup in their spare parts bin, too, most likely with the gauges broken off? Here's the pertinent interior parts exploded diagram from the AMT '63 Buick Electra 225 convertible's instruction sheet, showing the Kat from AMT figure, a pair of water skis ,and a tape recorder: The AMT '63 Mercury Monterey S-55 included an alligator, record player, telephone... ...scissors jack, trophy, axle horse, and a surfboard: -

...better judgement by either cropping the picture or wearing some pants next time? I mean, I know it's hot in Australia right now, but that's cutting it really close, Mate. -

That's about 30% of what Round2 HAS been doing since 2008. AMC Gremlins and the Pacer, Pinto wagon and soon the '77, Daytona Transporter, Corvair Funny Car, the forthcoming Dodge LWB pickup and Subaru B.R.A.T., VW Scirocco, the 1/16 scale Chargers, Zingers, etc-- all out of circulation for 30+ years, some even longer. Yes, Round2 reissues some staples to their lineup ('49 Ford and Mercury, '40 WIllys, etc.) but they have put out quite a few not-seen-for-many-years kits, so we don't need to wait. The kits have already been reissued, maybe just not the kits you were hoping to see reissued.

Which Model Gave You a Whoopin'?
Casey replied to 10thumbs's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That's called wisdom. My first scale whoopin' was courtesy of the 1/20 MPC McLaren Mk8d: It was a tenth birthday present, but I did not yet have the kills needed to build it properly. Did that stop me from trying? Hell no! Plenty of Pactra flat black and silver (especially on the rear wing) was used, but it was just not to be. I held onto the wheels and tires for many years, eventually trading them them to Jim McCall on the rec-models.scale usenet group in the early '90s, but I have no real desire to try to build this kit again. -

Good to see others also taking an interest in the non-plastic side of the hobby, so to speak. I think things like advertising posters, sales sheets, instruction sheets, flyers, etc. tend to get dismissed for various reasons, but they do hold some value for some, especially those with a legitimate interest in discussing and learning more about the history of the hobby. Considering most paper items tend to be much less durable and preserved than actual plastic kit parts, and attrition become a factor, too. -

The '65 Barracuda, Mustang, and Mako Shark were at least advertised as being part f the Young Model Builders Club: I have a few of the ex-Aurora Monogram '65 Mustang kits , and they're decent-- fairly accurate, but simplified with molded details on the chassis plate. They'd make decent Polar Vortex type weekend projects, but can be improved upon as desired. The GTO looks to be the most "off" of the bunch, with the '65 Barracuda slightly less so. I'm unsure how strongly related the Aurora 1/32 scale '65 GTO, etc. are to the K&B slot car kits ( though it says right on the box "a subsidiary of Aurora"), but I have to think the body parts are one and the same: I wonder if Monogram acquired the other 1/32 Aurora car kits, too, and just never reissued them for various reasons?:

AMT to MPC Molds/Kits/Tooling?

From this topic...: ...comes this (pared down by me) info: That seems to concur with what Mark said regarding the '67 Chevy Fleetside and '67 Barracuda kits above. -

"Mad, mod, funny cars. Gobs of plated parts, colorful decals and way-out styles designed to make model building really fun." Sounds like 1969 copy. -

Hmmm, the AMT and Kat stickers I had didn't hold up, but the AMT/SC, Street Rods (from the '09 '49 Ford reissue?), and Hurst (from the '69 Hurst/Olds) have: There were also Kenworth logo stickers in case anyone is collecting them all: Back to posters, was this (these?) available as a poster size wall calendar in 1968? An ebay seller offered these as reprints a few years ago, but I was never quite sure what the original poster/calendar was, nor what the exact size was: I have seen the various "GIANT"(!!???) Monogram posters on eBay, too: For the Pyro fans out there...: -

TV camera from the AMT T 339 ACCELLERATOR Corvette kit: I think this is the same TV camera/parts which were last offered in the AMT Custom & Competition Parts Pack?: -
Enamel over lacquer - YES Lacquer over enamel - NO DupliColor lacquers have a very "hot" base (solvent) and are not really designed to be used on plastics.I'm sure you've seen plenty of vintage AMT kits sprayed with AMT lacquer, and the plastic is heavily crazed-- essentially melted on a very small scale, at the surface. When in doubt, read the MSDS Data sheets for each product you plane to use: https://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalog/consumer-brands/painters-touch-2x-ultra-cover/primer/
