I've heard/read they are very good kits, too, but perhaps, like me, most people just don't find the subject matter appealing. The Cord is about the only kit which piques my interest, and the box art may be mostly to blame for that.

It appears this version will have the "driver seat plus two-man seat" split bench seat, from what I can see after zooming in on one image at the above link. Perhaps a 1405 Panel version is in the works eventually.

Weird. The picture I posted was nicked directly from the Collector Model blog post last September, and the Polylgas GT tires should've been included with the '49 Ford. Are you looking for the L60-15 Polyglas tires specifically, or just any of the newer Polyglas tires AMT has included in their kits?

Slide the greenhouse forward, closer to the hood/cowl gap, and I think it looks more balanced.

Original 1940 Willys pickup street rod t184
Casey replied to Drqke95's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
'bout $15 or so if it catches someone's eye on eBay. I think someone forgto to add the decimal to the price in the listing you found, and even then, that's wishful thinking. This kit is nothing special, so build it an enjoy it. That's how you'd get the most value out of this kit IMHO. -
Odd that Round2 edited out the Coca-Cola logos on the real car, but they (and it appears quite a few extras?) are present on the decal sheet, as well as the Reyes photos on the long side of the box. Maybe there were other subtle differences/version in 1972 for this particular car, though, hence the extra Coca-Cola decals.

The Monogram 1/24 Predicta, Lil Coffin, and Boothill Express kits all contain an early Hemi V8. None will really knock anyone's socks off, but there's not much else to chose from, kit-wise. The Monogram '71 Hemi 'Cuda is the only late style Hemi I can think of in 1/24 scale.

The MPC '71-'78 Dodge van kits, as well as the Rescue 911 (and maybe the semi-recently reissued yellow custom version) version contain the wheel you're looking for.
-
Tradition? They're going to offer it as a stand-alone parts pack item? The kit was molded in white and black originally, so maybe Round2 is just being consistent.

There definitely was a resin cast D-series engine.on eBay at one point in the past. A Google search hits on a worthpoint listing with a few pics of it. Maybe try matching the background cutting mat with a current eBay seller?

Beretta Pro-Street Engine related question
Casey replied to Mjolnir's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
There is a matching mounting stud on the floorpan/chassis which you can see in step three of the instructions. There would normally be an inspection cover at the bottom of a bellhousing (if not one on the front face), so in this case I would add one and call it a day. Something as seen on this Chrysler Slant Six: Very few people ran a Lenco trans on the street, so unless it's an ex-race car or a fastest street car type car, a different trans might be a better option. -
Modelling Oddities/Mistakes
Casey replied to NY Modeler's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I guess Revell AG chose the two most "European" of Revell's 1/32 scale lineup to reissue, but the box art was always far better than what was inside. -
It sounds like it'll be a late 1st quarter of 2017 release, with some type of Hot Wheels branded tie-in or packaging.

Modelling Oddities/Mistakes

Ooooh, that's good stuff, Chris. The search is on... I think the wheel mismatch in the AMT Chevy Blazer kit was mentioned there, too. Six lug wheels on one end and five lug wheels on the other, was it? -

I looked one over earlier today at HobbyTown USA, so they are out there and available for purchase.

Another topic about buying model kits at drug and hardware stores got me wondering-- where are some non-traditional (i.e. not hobby shops, swap meets, rummage sales, eBay, etc) or unusual places you have purchased model kits? One bottle of Pactra's "never gonna dry" silver paint awarded if you remember exactly what, where and when you bought it/them.

Are the Prudhomme Wedge, Flying Wedge, McEwen, Garlits, Ivo, and Sand Dragon R/E dragster all variations on the same basic chassis/engine combo?

Halibrand Sprint, spindle mount, in both early (more squared off "windows") and later versions: Found in many AMT/MPC/Revell 1/25 scale FunnyCar kits, in varying degrees of accuracy. The JO-HAN Funny Car kits (and maybe some of their Pro Stock kits like the Maverick/Comet) contain Halibrand front and rear wheels just like so, these parts being from the Challenger Funny Car:

I noticed that, too. I suspect is it from when Ertl started the tooling inventory/test shot process. Only "L. Kerper(sp?)" knows for sure!

Beretta Pro-Street Engine related question
Casey replied to Mjolnir's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I'm pretty sure that front mounted 4-barrel carb and the twin turbos are the parts which were removed on subsequent variations of this chassis-- the Beretta and Corvette. I believe the current Beretta P/S reissue is the same as the earlier version, save for the decals the "blank" tires. It looks like the kit now has 4-into-1 style headers replacing the previous headers which must've connected to the turbos. -

Question about AMT Color Me Gone 64 Dodge
Casey replied to chriscarroll.ogre's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Looks a lot like the Lawman kit, but new Cartograf decals should be better than the Lindberg originals:
