  1. Jimmy Flintstone was involved with all the HSO (Hobby Shop Only) labeled kits AFAIK. They supplied the pewter wheels found in the Rambler Pro Street, '70 Olds 442, 1971 Cuda, '69 AMX, etc. The JF slammer style kits (Lakestar, Fire Roadstered, etc.) were all branded as HSO kits, too, so there are probably close to twenty kits which were sold in HSO packaging.
  2. That's a good shot of how the body support meets the body brace, and look like what's found in the AMT kit. The blue cab pic I posted above appears to have a slightly different mount, with the frame-mounted body support mounted a bit further to the rear.

  6. I've been more than happy with Photobucket in the eight years I've been using it, so that's what I would suggest.
  7. That's definitely another grey area as far as accurate positioning of parts is concerned. I did some test fitting last night, and the glass fits perfectly into the body, followed by the interior tub, but there isn't a lot of contact between the fender wells and the interior floor/insides of the cab. Ditto for the rear cab panel. It's semi-familiar if you've built other V-8s, but there are some odd differences, and I wasn't sure the valley (or "galley" per the instructions) pan was correctly mated with the cylinder heads, but I think I got it together correctly. The hole in the back of the water pump is much larger than the coolant passage tube(?) at the front of the intake manifold, so those two pieces don't have a great fit, but not the worst thing.

  9. I have to admit the instructions for this kit are not the greatest, especially when it comes to positioning of certain parts against neighboring parts. It also seems the out wheel lips/rim sections are too small in diameter to fit the tires, and there are two big sinkholes in the rear spring packs spanning a few of the leaves. I think the rear tires will hide them for the most part, so probably not a big deal in the long run. This kit (I have the Steven's International reissue) appears to be holding up very well, too, as far as molded parts quality is concerned. Zero flash, and very few nibs of hints of wear showing on the parts. I guess the RC2 era wasn't so bad after all.

  16. Are you out of storage space, maybe? You have 72 images in your gallery, and while I can't see the image size of each, you might be at or near your personal limit. I would suggest you use a Photobucket album and be done with it. It's free and easy, and you have plenty of storage/bandwidth for all of your images.

  21. Sew what if they do. It looks like the front tires are the same as those found in the previous LX kit, but it's hard to make out the tread area on the rear tires. I can't see if they are drag radials with minimal tread grooves or totally smooth slicks, but I think Brad mentioned long ago they are supposed to be 10.5 drag radials.
  22. We've already heard the truth and seen the proof many times regarding the roof height in the previous '90 LX review topic, so there's nothing new to add. I'd rather see us all move on and discuss the new things about this version, good or bad.
