  1. Nice! Love the window tint!
  2. Thanks! Here you go... The Red Baron Build Sheet 06/2020 As a follow-on to Thunder Belle (a ’40 Ford Gasser built in 2018) and the more recent 12:00 O’clock High (a ‘62 Corvette Altered) and in keeping with the “nostalgic aircraft” theme, I created a crazy rear engine “flopper” I call Red Baron. This was by far the most diverse and creative kit-bash project I had ever attempted...so far! As an anti-hero to the two previous American Hero builds the name choice was a no-brainer playing off the origin of the 1963 23 Window VW Samba Bus, the Fokker DR1 top wing with Iron Cross decals for my Prussian ancestors. 6. My all time favorite car! Nice job and a big project.
  7. Bought a beater 1965 VW bus from a neighbor's dad. Turned it into a surf van so I could spend summers back at the beach while in High School. Surfs up...gotta go.
  8. Good looking trio!
  9. Love Challengers and your shop diorama is very cool! Good job!!!

    Gassers

Thanks guys. The '49 Ford was the first build of this bunch...and I like it the best...too.
  13. Great work! One of the cleanest jobs I have ever seen and excellent photography!!
  14. Thanks Mario. Started with Revell's '68 Beetle Limo. Stretched it and chopped the roof. Guts are mainly from Revell's Gene Snow FC kit.

  17. The bloody Red Baron...
  18. Very cool...looks real fast!
  19. While multi-tasking, I inadvertently posted my daughter's Cabrio under WIP Dragsters. I am new to this Forum and know just enough about computers to be dangerous. Seems like the Christmas present I gave her belongs here. All the best...
  20. Very cool RRR. Nice job! Guess what they say is true, "great minds think alike, sometimes just slightly different times." Thought you'd enjoy my last project. Race you for pink slips....?
  21. Tried for the "blended" effect for a unique paint job one this very unique VW Beetle funny car. Not so easy with rattle cans. But I liked it...
  22. Oppps...my bad. Posted under wrong topic. Anyone know how to edit Post Categories....?
  23. My daughter learned to drive in this cute little VW. A dozen years later she was still grossing about selling it before moving to CO. She wanted it back but learned the next owner's brother had totaled the car. So I decapitated a Fujimi Golf Mk3 CL/GL and achieved the unique "Pinkish Lipstick Red" by shooting three coats of Testors Electric Pink and Revving Red simultaneously (a rattle can in each hand) over a black base coat. It worked and I surprised her on Christmas
