  1. That is so cool................! "Live long and prosper!"
  2. Very nice work. Love me some Herbie...........
  3. Thoughts and prayers to his family.
  4. Thanks! I'd say that 95% was manual. I restored it as black-n-white and added the color afterward. This retouch took about 4 hours.
  5. I guess I could say the same thing. After 15 years doing pro-darkroom printing my job went to photo retouching around 1998 with PS-5. It still amazes me what I can do with PS-CC. But I think I can say that PS has helped with kit building as well. Here is a favorite retouch I did for a lady who lost her son in Nam.
  6. Love it!!! I like that you built it with the 2.3. And the MO plate is the best......
  7. Sweet build. Fantastic color. I built this kit and painted it green(dark) as well.
  8. Very nice build. Held up very well over the years.
  9. RIP......I saw on wiki he is in 13 movies that will come out in the next 3 years. Active till the end. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ed_Asner_filmography
  10. For sure, kit building gave me the skills to do a full size car. My 88 5.0 went from this......... To this...... And my 85 went from this...... To this.....
  11. RIP Dusty. Saw ZZ twice in concert. Wish I went to more.
  12. Sad to see another drummer gone. RIP
  13. webe, comes from my nephew when he was little. Every time I said "Webe go'n" he would laugh. Then he nicked named me "Uncle Weebs". stang, Well that might be a bit obvious from my sig. Born the year debuted 1964, family car was a 67 coupe, first car bought on my own 68 coupe, own 3 now.
  14. I tried to get my nephew into building when he was a kid (he's 30 now) but video games and Lego were his thing. He was not patient enough (letting glue/paint dry) to build kits, I even tried quick snap kits but he did not like those.
  15. Just watched the show on the hack job Folk art....LOVED IT......!!!! Being in an apartment right now and can't really paint too much I want to hack away at some kits and build Drag Folk Art.
  16. LOVE Matchbox!!!!! On the die-cast forum I'm on MB is going to make a 57 Ford as well............!
  17. Interesting. I too would be surprised. Good luck with selling the kits.
  18. $600......? I thought it was $20k...... From Turbo Tax..... If you make more than $20,000 in gross sales and have 200 or more transactions on eBay, you should receive a 1099-K form reporting this income to the IRS. I've sold more than $3000 on E-Bay in one year and did not have to pay taxes.
  19. Nichols Cage in 'The Weather Man"...... “I don't predict it. Nobody does, 'cause i-it's just wind. It's wind. It blows all over the place! What the $#@!!”
  20. I've researched converting my 4 banger 85 Mustang to electric but I just can't afford it. For just the price of battery's I can find a 5.0 to dump in there.
  21. Pride as well as common sense is long gone. Sad, just sad.
  22. I guess my favs would be the ones I have on DVD/B Ray........Most of these I rewatch once every year. M*A*S*H (number one all time fav) The Bob Newhart Show Star Trek Voyager Mannix Frasier Monk The Shield Cagney and Lacey Seinfeld Big Bang Theory Mork & Mindy The Dick Van Dyke Show Mission Impossible Speed Racer
  23. Oh boy another truck.....weeeeeee.............?
  24. The hydro car got killed off just like the GM EV1 back in the late 90's. Of course this was after GW Bush spent 1.8 billion on the tech. What's crazy is the thousands of dollars spent on a one off hydro powered Hummer that Arnold Schwarzenegger drove up to a hydro pump to meet GW and sings the praises of hydro. Then Arnold drives off out of sight and gets into a reg gas powered Suburban to get to the airport. I bet that hydro Hummer got crushed. What a joke.
