  1. Now THAT'S a stance! ? Also, great tip on the inner fender/frame interface. I feel that all of the Revellogram kits that are molded this way could benefit from this neat trick. Fitting those frames to the body - especially on final assembly - is an absolute pain because of the inner fender bits.
  2. I think those kit decals are opaque enough that they wouldn't be affected much by whatever color you put them over. Personally, I would spray the truck bed in body color if I'm using decals for the wood slats, etc.. It's been my experience that decals adhere better to a shiny surface vs. just primer.
  3. Looking good. I love that color! What little bleed through you got should be easy to clean up. Just a tip re: the truck bed decals. The part of the decals that go around the wheel tubs are incorrectly colored silver to make them match the bed strips. They are body color, as they are part of the wheel tub. I usually cut that part of the decal away. It's a precision cut, but a little patience with a ruler and a fresh blade makes quick work of it.
  4. I'm digging it! I like the interior two tone treatment. What do you have planned for the exterior color? This is actually one of my favorite Monogram kits from the 80s. Compared to today's standards, it feels simplified and maybe a little crude, but I still think it looks great when finished.
  5. How are their decals? I've had a hankering to order a few of their headlight sets because I have a bunch of Silverados in the stash, but haven't pulled the trigger. The finished grille looks pretty darn realistic, imo. I just learned about this stuff myself. Going to pick up a bottle next time I'm at the local Michaels. ??
  6. I'm digging it! ? Also, cool detail with the vent window appearance. Rusty frame and a black rubber seal is spot on!
  7. Nicely done! I really like this kit, but you're right...it's really fiddly. You did a great job finishing it up, and I really dig the color.
  8. I somehow managed to lose a set of the tail lights for this kit, which is annoying because they were bagged separately and I had them taped to the inside of the box...or so I thought. I just need the two red plastic lights, not the bumper/rear surround. If you've got a set, DM me and let me know what bits you might like in return. TIA. PS - I've poked around online for a bit to see if anyone has these cast in resin or 3D printed, but I haven't found any. If someone knows of a replacement online, let me know.
  9. Now that is TASTY! Way cool. I looked through the pics before I read the post, and I wouldn't have believed that the finish is the polished kit plastic, not paint.
  10. That's a great color combo, and a sharp build! I'm digging it. ?? I'm not a huge fan of Moebius kits overall, but I think it's cool that they tooled this one up.
  11. That's a great build with a fantastic color choice! ?
  12. Is the drag car going to be another build, or something you already have finished?
  13. Looking good! The interior is really sharp, I love the colors you chose. I've had hood fit issues on every single one of these Revell C10 kits that I've built, and I chalk that up to the multi-piece molding. I usually end up shimming the back and bottom of the hood with styrene strip. With a little work, you can get everything to line up. Although I will tell you, as someone who had a '64 GMC for years, the fit of the hood on the real thing wasn't much better!
  14. That was my experience with the original PL-issue Coronet. I still have one in the stash. I haven't seen the newer AMT release.
  15. I actually came across a spare set in a parts box the other day, which is why I was asking. ??
  16. I'm just curious, are you missing the interior doglegs for the convertible top?
  17. Lots of cool stuff there, thanks for sharing. I'm really digging that '39 Poncho!
  18. Now that's a cool effect!
  19. That blue is so tasty! Great looking Goat, congrats on seeing it through to the end. ? I agree, the kit is a bit of a bear to build. It's got quite a few fit issues.
  20. Loving these! The green on the coupe works really well with the scallops. ?
  21. This really captures the essence of a lot of Raggare cars I've seen on the internet. Great build!
  22. Love this build, it captures the feel of the real thing so well. ??
  23. Ditto on the 504 errors. The site was completely down for me most of the afternoon, 14 Sept. Just got back on now, around 17:00 PDT. It is slow to respond, though.
  24. Any of the Revell '64-'66 Chevy trucks are another good option, in addition to the kits already mentioned. Personally, I prefer the '64/'66 Fleetsides over the one piece bed in the '65 Stepside kit, but any of them will build up nicely. The AMT 60 Chevy Fleetside/Apache is another good kit. The stock version leaves a bit to be desired in the wheel/tire department, but other than that, it's a gem.
