  1. In the vast expanse of websites, I'm trying to find a site I stumbled across but can't remember where. The site has a list of where to find the all kinds of engines from all the different models and manufacturers. If anyone knows the site I'm referring to your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  2. I had a friend who had a 68 Skylark, he repainted his pearl white w/gold stripes aka Hurst Olds. It looked really nice.
  3. Nice. I love open wheel race cars. I especially liked the look of the 90's style Indy cars. I have all of those kits as well as some aftermarket decals for cars they couldnt release (eg Paul Tracy's Kool car). I was also able to pick up a Canadian special edition kit of Greg Moore's car.
  4. Very nice build. If you are looking for a good aftermarket distributor, Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland make some nice ones.
  5. Hello Merle, welcome to the forum. There's a bunch of great builders and info here. By the way if you are interested there is a model club that meets twice a month just north of you in Melbourne. We meet at Hobbytown the first and third Tuesdays of every month at 6:30pm. We are the Tabletop Cruisers, we have a great bunch people in our club and a lot of good builders always willing to help with a tip or advice. You ought to check us out.
  6. First would be my Optivisor w/No.3 lense (needed them after age 40+), next would be the No.5 lense for my Optivisor (needed a little stronger lense after age 50+) . Second wasn't a purchase, a good friend gave me a set of good Swiss needle files almost 30yrs ago. I use them on almost ever model, I have yet to find another set as good. Last would be my Dremel Stylus, very comfortable to use.
  7. WOW! That's one incredible collection. I'd love to have just one of those cars in my garage.
  8. Are there any car model clubs in or around Greenville S.Carolina?
  9. I know that Billy Gibbons, Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck are seriously into 1:1 street rods. The only famous people I know that do some kind of model building are Neil Young and Rod Stewart, they are heavily into model railroading.
  10. I bought this kit first time it was issued, was at HobbyTown today this reissue is $26.95.... I don't think so. I'd rather save my money for some of the new models coming out this year.
  11. Two that got away from me, my 71 Impala (my first car) and my 69 Chevelle.
  12. Very cool, that would be a neat Hot Rod to cruise in if someone built one in 1:1.
  13. Wow, very nice build. Why didn't GM think of something like that.
  14. Got the new MCM in the mail, not a tear or wrinkle in my copy either. That almost never happens, I think the post office purposely sets their sorting machines on the shred cycle.
  15. Great build, love the color and the wide whites.
  16. I would love to see the video of this thing shredding Pikes Peak.
  17. I'm looking forward to the reissue of the Lil Coffin, all I have of are remnants of my original build 40 plus years ago. And also the 2n1 67 Vette convertible, you can never have too many Vettes in your stash.
  18. Wow, hope they release the coupe soon. It would make a nice addition to the other 2 kits.
  19. Pretty cool, nice job. Like the color.
  20. Nice job, I've been trying to finish mine for the last couple weeks. I bought my kit before the reissue, so I bought the Slixx decals.
  21. Now the similarity between this car and the Fiat X19 makes sense, Bertone designed both.
  22. Does look like an X19...on some really bad steroids. Wait,Fiat owns Ferrari don't they? If so they should have kept their designers out of the studio.
  23. Cool build, definitely like the white walls better.
  24. Never have seen or knew that car even existed. Curious to see it built.
  25. Great builds, Tom. They came out nice.
