  1. My local Hobby Lobby carries quite a few of the new releases. (50 Olds,57 Ford, AMC Gremlin, 3 or 4 double kits,Hurst Olds) just to name a few. All together they carry about 40 or 50 current kits.
  2. Beautiful roadster, there is not a thing I don't like. I wouldn't mind that in my garage.
  3. I'm thinking pretty soon, I want to pick up one of the Rat Rods also. I picked up the 50 Olds about a week after Hobbytown got it.
  4. Great work. Just started following a few pages ago. I' m getting ready to delve into brass fabricating, your work is inspiring. Went all the way to the beginning looking at your work, I like the headers. How did you do those collectors? What did you use for the pipes?
  5. Saw them at my local Hobbytown, $24.95. I'll wait for Hobby Lobby and use my coupon and save $11. I was looking at the kit, I have so many Deuce kits now the only parts I want are the wheels/tires and the fenders. I like the kit, but I have more kits than I'll build in my lifetime. So I tend to procrastinate and try to be selective when buying a new kit. Then this little voice in the back of my head sucks me in and I buy it anyway.
  6. Beautiful job, I love that kit. Even though its a old tooling, it's builds up nice with a little work. It's also a challenge to BMF.
  7. Nice build, very clean job.
  8. I have the Hobby Lobby app on my phone, every week is a new 40% coupon. Regardless of whatever sale they honor the largest discount or coupon.
  9. I've had that model Dremel for years, it's very good. I bought Dremels newest pistol grip style (very comfortable to use)with a lithium ion battery. I've had it for almost a year and it stays charged for an incredibly long time. I bought it at Lowes.
  10. Nice job so far Randy. I was thinking wether or not to buy that kit, you just made up my mind. That looks like a really nice model.
  11. I want at least 2, one out of the box and one to do a Garlits car.
  12. One word,Wow. Great custom work, like the Carson top. Can't wait to see it in paint.
  13. You know what they say about old school, if it ain't broke.....
  14. If youre just getting started using an airbrush I would suggest learning with a single action airbrush. I bought a Paasche single action from Hobby Lobby with a 40% coupon for $50. Also you can go to a website called BearAir, they sell everything you could need. Their prices are reasonable and they are very helpful if you have any questions.
  15. Just 5? That's hard to pick with so many great cars. I have 2 lists, 1 domestic, 1 import. 1. 58 Impala - 348 2. 63 SplitWindow- F.I. 3. 67 Impala- 427 4 speed 4. 67 L88 Corvette. 5. 69 Chevelle SS 1. 458 Italia 2. Audi R8 3. Porsche GT3 4. VW CC 2.8 5. VW GTI
  16. I go to Sally's beauty product store with my wife. Guys you shouldn't be to bothered what people think, they have a great selection of nail polishes in all colors of metallics and pearls. The lady in the store says alot of men buy the nail polishes for all kinds of hobbies, they even get taxidermists in there and buy them. My LHS doesn't have a selection of paints that large.
  17. Nice build, what type of lathe and milling machines do you use?
  18. I put out my flag first thing this morning, I never forget. Spent part of this afternoon watching WWII in color on the history channel.
  19. Very cool, the two tone paint looks great. Where did those Porsche parts come from, are they from a Fujimi kit?
  20. Thanks for the soldering info Bill.
  21. Looks good. Like your scratch built headers, how did you do the collectors? They look realistic.
  22. Hi Bill,Thanks for posting your video on soldering, I'm getting ready to take a stab at doing some scratch building involving brass. I've done larger types of soldering (stained glass), what wattage soldering iron do you use? Also what type/mixture of solder. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
