  1. I have a Paasche H I bought after years of using a Badger 200, I like them both. The badger shoots great and is extremely reliable. I bought the Paasche H because I wanted a single action external feed which is easier to clean and it came with 3 sized tips. I also wanted the ability of using a tip with a wider pattern for painting larger areas like bodies.
  2. Nice job, nice paint. But I have one question....a Prius?...why?
  3. It's a sickness, no really, I love cars and this is a way to have all the cars I've ever liked and can't afford in 1:1. I hope to live long enough to build maybe half of them. (I'd tell you how many I have in my stash but I'd have to kill you). Well maybe it is really a sickness.
  4. Besides building car models, my other hobbies are watching all types of motorsports (especially F1 and Indycar), listening to classic rock, woodworking and stained glass.
  5. Yesterday the 23rd I turned the the ripe old age of 56. And last night our daughter-in-law went into labor and this afternoon at 5:47 she and my son gave my wife and I our first grandchild. Sophia Jane at 5 lbs 10 oz and she's beautiful, God does great work.
  6. Nice job. I'm currently finishing BMF and decals on mine. I started mine before Round released this version, I bought my decals a long time ago from Slixx. I also did a three color interior, that was pretty tedious.
  7. Wow, that's one outrageous college project!
  8. The overall designs of both cars were great, but suffered from typical GM cheapness when it came to fit and finish. The quality of the interiors was terrible for the price of the cars. I told the Saturn salesman that GM never learns from past mistakes (aka Fiero) and that the Sky and Solstice would suffer the same fate. They were going up against the Miata and the S2000 which both were better built sports cars. It was a shame, the Sky was a great looking car but within a year of the two cars coming out they were showing up on used car lots. GM needs to come up with something else to fit the void.
  9. I have the same kit, looking foward to watching your build progress. You definitely spent some $$$ on Tamiya paints. They are worth it though, the spray better than any other brand.
  10. Badger makes a great airbrush, I've owned my model 200 for almost 35yrs and just had it rebuilt by Badger free of charge. How many companies back their product like that?
  11. You should do a tutorial on building your wire wheels, they look great.
  12. Very nice, excellent black paint.
  13. Nice build. I'd have to say the original owner's taste was all in their mouth, that is one of the weirdest color combos I've seen.
  14. Very cool video! Love ZZTop. I've never seen that video either. Great cars, great music, and as always in their videos the women are good looking.
  15. That coupe is absolutely beautiful! I wouldn't change a thing, I think the scoops add a modern flair to a classic design.
  16. Thanks for the info Pete. I thought you were using brass, the color of the metal in photo kind of threw me off. It kind of looked silver like PE. I already have the fine RadioShack solder, you're right everyone sells the huge solder. I did find some silver solder at Ace Hardware that was a little bigger for slightly larger jobs.
  17. Great front axle, I've been thinking about making my own front axles. What type of metal did you use and what type of solder?
  18. New tool: 63 SplitWindow, 69 Chevelle, 71 Impala
  19. I've got a street rod project in my head and I am collecting pieces. Does anyone know where or in what kit I can find a 270 ci Dodge Red Ram Hemi? Thanks for any help or info.
  20. The engine in AMT's Phantom Vicky has a really good version.
  21. I've been collecting as many years of Corvette kits as I can find. I have managed to accumulate quite a few. A lot of years would still have to be kit bashed. So far I have the 53,55,57,58,59,60,62,63,65,66,67,68,70,71,72,78,82,88,90,91,92,93,95,96,97,98,99,00,01,05,06 and 10 kits and still trying to collect the years I don't have. I also have some prototypes and show cars. Bill is right, it will take a lot of time and patience to build 30 yrs worth of Vettes. It will be years before I have even half of these built along with rest of the kits in my stash.
  22. Wow, absolutely stunning build. Looks very much like the 1:1 original.
  23. I use rattle cans for parts and chassis. I would rather use an AB for bodies, with spray cans I get too much orange peel. Cleaning up an AB is a pain but rubbing out a paint job is worse.
  24. Nice job. I've thought about getting a couple of Michaels cars from Tameo. Price is a little steep for my wallet right now, maybe in the near future I' ll try at least one.
  25. I love F1, I'm a big fan. This year's Ferrari looks much better than last year. Most of the teams got rid of or smoothed out the stepped nose design on their new cars.
