  1. That's very cool, neat idea.
  2. Ok who are you and what did you do with Lovefordgalaxie? Lol. Nice looking Chevy, great job on the homemade BMF.
  3. Nice paint job, I used to paint aircraft, large trucks and cranes for a living. Prepping, painting and detailing something that large takes a lot of work. Norfolk Southern has some of the best looking locomotives out there.
  4. Charlie, it came out great! Another exceptional build. Are you bringing it to the next club meeting so we can see the finished product in person? Oh by the way, finally got some blue paint on the 41.(to quote Andy,"sound the trumpets, release the pigeons!") Lol. Going to try and clear it this weekend.
  5. I have two earlier issues that have all the current parts and a old built up from my childhood, but I think I'll buy this reissue also. Can never have too many splitwindows. I just wish Revell would step up and give us an all new tooling.
  6. The Shell commercial is definitely the best. The cars all sound great, but I still love the sound of the V10's twisting to 22,000 rpm's.
  7. I agree, just build what you like and enjoy the show.
  8. Cool ratrod, very different. (Might want to tie down that battery. Lol)
  9. Congratulations Harry, I became a grandfather first time last year. My granddaughter was born the day after my 56th birthday, she is my sweetheart. My wife and I adore her. Just found out my daughter in law is due again this August. Hope at least one of my grandkids will be a future model builder.
  10. The cat looks great. Ditto, don't care for the wheels.
  11. Nice job. I remember those Aurora kits. My dad bought 4 different kits (the Olds,Stutz,Rambler, and I think a Ford), they were the first models my dad taught me and my brother how to build. They were very simple models to build (good kits for beginners)
  12. The sound of the new cars will take some getting used to,they sound weird. The Ferraris sound better than all the others, they still have that distinctive Ferrari sound. I still will miss the scream of the V8's and the older V10's.
  13. Followed your thread during your build, absolutely stunning model.
  14. Andy that's a sweet looking Vicky, did you custom build those headers? If so, what did you use for the collector cone? I browsed through your photobucket album, you have a clean building style.
  15. Tommy, that definitely fits the description of sleeper no matter where your from. When I was in high school (a long long time ago) there were a few people I knew who had plain-jane looking cars but had killer engines. They used to embarrass more than of few of the prancers- the all show and no go cars. It was fun to watch them smoke unsuspecting victims.
  16. ERacing. No thanks, it'll suck. They're already getting a little ridiculous in F1 with hybrid and limiting fuel economy. It's RACING! You need the sights, the sounds and the smells. F1 should have kept the V8's and went to ethanol if they're becoming environmentally PC.
  17. Nice job on your build, the wheels look great. They make the whole model really pop. I would be the type of person to try doing the wheels like that. I find doing tedious details relaxing.
  18. Beautiful job, excellent paint. If that were a real 1:1 Mustang, I wouldn't mind having it in my driveway.
  19. Harry your model is stunning, you build very quickly. Those cars from the brass era were very majestic vehicles. Looking forward to you finishing it.
  20. I like the burnt orange color. Where did you get those wheels?
  21. Good luck with your plan. I was fortunate, my son (only child) likes building car models. I started him at an early age, we also customized two 1:1 cars when he was a teen. So maybe one out of your three will take to our hobby.
  22. I'd say they are probably some of the best. I've been a fan of the WRC for about 20 yrs. The first time I watched it on TV I was hooked, those guys are crazy. Sometimes they hit speeds up to 120mph. Takes some guts to fly past trees, walls, spectators with nothing between them at speeds close to triple digits.
  23. I roughly timed the video. He hit 60 in 3.3, 100 in 6.0, 200 in 15.0 and 270 in 43 seconds. The thing is wicked fast. The Veyron on Top Gear had to have a running start, this beast did it from a standing start.
  24. Wow, that car is a beast. That's some serious acceleration.
