  1. Now thats the look that ticks the boxes for me. Chrome rims and whitewalls. Perfect.
  2. This by far the best solution for a small user like myself and many thanks to Model Cars for making it available. All the photos I've posted here are back at Photobucket but as I write this they are all still visible and I have yet to receive their ransom demand
  3. I must grab another of these. Under the body it is a very good platform for other projects.
  4. I received my first order off model Builders Warehouse last week and what a pleasure it was to do business with them. From shipping immediately to excellent communication and packaging they set a standard that is a step above the rest.
  5. I use the Tamiya matte and semigloss clears as well as Alclads' range of clears for the same purpose. Tamiya makes enamel and acrylic flatting bases that can be added to their bottle paints to give varying degrees of gloss and flatting base is available for 1k automotive paints from suitable suppliers.
  6. A couple of Foose F100s and a AMT Gas Man arrived on my doorstep from Plastic Models and an order I had placed with Model Builders Warehouse came in as well. This was the first time I have dealt with Model Builders Warehouse and from shipping the order immediately to excellent communication and packaging I was very impressed and wont hesitate to purchase off them again. The quality of the resin parts supplied from Clearly Scale and Fireball Modelworks were impeccable too.
  7. I'm just across the ditch from Aussie and have had several of my paint orders opened by our Customs/ Border Control. There has never been an issue though. They just drop a card inside to say it was them having a nosey and my paint has been sent on with no delay. I was getting Zero paints off Spot Model in Spain but they wont ship to NZ any more I guess due to regulations being tightened at their end.
  8. Thats a very well done tutorial Louie. As it is said a picture is worth a thousand words. Thank you for sharing.
  9. That looks really sharp. This kit looks like it will look a treat in a variety of colors. I've just placed an order for a couple of them
  10. I'll be following along on this build too. This is a kit I'd love to add to my stash though I really want a fresh copy and its surprising Tamiya haven't re released it since 1999. Talking from personal experience I'd suggest you do a thorough internet search before you have any business dealings with Thunder Valley.
  11. I got a decal from Firebird Designs and was gutted to find the envelope in my mail box but soaking wet from a torrential down pour. Fortunately Firebird had placed the decal inside a plastic envelop inside and was perfect. Well done Firebird.
  12. I can't keep up with the speed these boys are carrying through the country roads.
  13. I've been watching the Nurburgring stream live on motorsport 2017. Excellent coverage and the stream has been flawless.
  14. Such a shop is something I've been looking for without success. A one stop shop would sure cut back on the exorbitant costs of shipping these days
  15. Revell have put up the instructions for their new Foose pickup. Of interest I've noticed it has a metal axle at the front which is unusual for a modern kit plus the roof is a separate part http://www.revell.com/model-kits/trucks/85-4426.html#.WR5RZ_qGP5a
  16. Thats creative and its turned out a treat. Well done.
  17. My courier dropped off package from Tower Hobbies containing a Moebius Plymouth Belvedere. While the Moebius box is in perfect condition the body shell of this kit has a warped roof from what looks to be too much being stuffed in to a box thats too small. I had already read a lot about others having a similar issue so it was a roll of the dice to buy this kit. All I can do now is run the hot water and try to get it back in to shape.
  18. Steve has always provided me with a first class service out here in the colonies.
  19. Thanks for the bump Ace. Its an a easy to understand tutorial and it simplifies the process for a future project i've got planned
  20. The example I have here looks the same as Jons' Its definitely a bit scruffy round the edges compared to some other casters but the outside of my casting is nice and smooth and dead square with no flaws anywhere. I think the picture of the front makes it look worse than it really is. All that flash on mine is paper thin and will clean off with little effort. I have a number of Jimmys' bodies here and provided you aren't averse to some clean up I see them as decent value and perfectly useable.
  21. That Larsen Vega release date has been bounced back a number of times so far and its now a year way. Makes you wonder what the issue is.
  22. I just placed another order last night and its already been shipped with a tracking number. I've waited months for other vendors to get around to shipping inferior product.
  23. I'm old school and would go for No1. Street rods need big rubber to my eye.
  24. I've just used lacquer thinners on a rag and wiped the paint off resin in the past without issue. I'd avoid Isopropyl alcohol though which is my usual go to paint remover for plastic. I had a resin part from Norm at RM turn to rubber when I soaked a part in it.
