  1. That Larsen Vega release date has been bounced back a number of times so far and its now a year way. Makes you wonder what the issue is.
  2. I just placed another order last night and its already been shipped with a tracking number. I've waited months for other vendors to get around to shipping inferior product.
  3. I'm old school and would go for No1. Street rods need big rubber to my eye.
  4. I've just used lacquer thinners on a rag and wiped the paint off resin in the past without issue. I'd avoid Isopropyl alcohol though which is my usual go to paint remover for plastic. I had a resin part from Norm at RM turn to rubber when I soaked a part in it.
  5. I've purchased off them several times too and the quality is always top notch.
  6. Tower Hobbies is listing both in stock as well, in limited quantities.
  7. Tamiya make a decal adhesive I've found to work well when the decals have lost adhesion http://www.tamiya.com/english/products/87176/index.htm
  8. I can only add to what the others have said. I've purchased many items off Steve over the years and he has always provided a first class service.
  9. Nismo TV is streaming down here perfectly despite the International feed to New Zealand being blocked off at the official website. The race is now been running for 5 hours and packed full of action and drama.
  10. There is a International live stream here too but they are now blocking it to us in New Zealand as pay to view SKY TV has bought the rights to it http://www.bathurst12hour.com.au/streams-tv/international-streaming/ I've got my fingers crossed that Nismo TV will not be blocked as well.
  11. I've got both of those trans kits here but have only built one C1 models version to date. The Hobby Design trans kit is all separate body pieces that are attached to the Tamiya donor kit after the body has been cut out so is far more work than the C1 version which is supplied as a completed shell. Both are now decent quality and it really comes back to how much work you wanted to put in. Cutting the Tamiya shell up and lining up all the pieces of the Hobby Design body kit is not going to be for the inexperienced. This is my C1 Models 993 which was one of their early castings and took quite a bit of work before I was happy with it. I recently got their 964 and the quality of their casting has improved noticeably and looks like it will go together without issue.
  12. Postage costs out of America to New Zealand seem to have really taken a jump in recent years. Many retailers and Ebay sellers appear to use an automatic shipping calculator which gives preposterous costs. I've found Tower Hobbies to be the most reliable these days. They send out regular discount coupons and their shipping costs are not unreasonable.
  13. Not decals, but ZoomOn Model make a P/E stencil for airbrushing that includes Toyo.... http://www.zoomonmodel.com/zd013
  14. The Studio 27 BAR 007 I scored off HLJ during their current sale arrived this morning complete with questionable spelling on the decal sheet. ' LOOK LFET ' ??? A quick clip with the scissors will sort it. Funny thing is it is spelled correctly on the white decals on the same sheet.
  15. I was swayed by the Al Jensen car in Hemmings too. it ticks all the boxes for me.
  16. Maybe there are some local laws causing an issue for them or there are other hassles making it not worth it. I can import Zero paints in from Spain without any issues but the manufacturer in England wont ship down here.
  17. I've had several orders off him and they have all arrived down here in NZ in next to no time. Great service and paint.
  18. It just looks right. I love it.
  19. I remove my filter regularly and go over it with a vacumn cleaner as I'm using lacquers/ base coats and the overspray is mostly dry by the time it reaches the filter.

The colors go together well on this one. Its got a believable old school look to it. Well done.
  21. They are no longer in the RMCoM catalogue. Machined Aluminium Specialties made a particularly nice set but I believe they are out of production too. There appears to be a void here in the aftermarket for these wire wheels.
  22. Thats ticking all the boxes. She sits just right.
  23. Club Barchetta is a good resource for MFH instructions and photos of the parts http://www.club-barchetta.com/SHOP/K513.html
  24. MFH has recently released a set of Borrani rims for those with deep pockets. You could probably pick them up cheaper elsewhere but this link does have a photo http://www.spotmodel.com/product_info.php?products_id=50236
