  1. That idea of using a card, like those in magazines for ordering, works better than toothpicks in door lines. You'll have to keep using different corners as they soften up, of course since there's only 4 corners, you should cut the card in half or more. Another method is running the body under hot, or very warm, water and using an old toothbrush. Yet another way using toothpicks is to file the end of the round toothpick into sort of a wedge, making the end thinner. You'll have to keep the toothpick inline with the panel line.
  2. Can't really heap more praise on the pile, it's so high I can't reach the top! But MAN you do amazing work! Crazy amount of attention to detail, WOW!
  3. It doesn't get much cooler than that! Just amazing work, I love it!
  4. WOW, Dann, you're really going all out, I love it! Haven't touched mine for months, but when I get back to it, I'll be copying some of your stuff, if you don't mind!
  5. Love it! That frame should be available in resin, it's perfect for so many hot rods!
  6. Hand painted seat and door panel pattern is amazingly cool! The whole car looks so cool so far!
  7. Interior is PERFECT!
  8. What a gorgeous build, I love what you've done and that paint job is WOW!
  9. Very nice job on that one, looks quite realistic!
  10. I have their gorgeous 68-71 Maserati Ghibli, curbside but highly detailed, I've started it but can't decide on a colour, so it's just in the box!
  11. I started one of those but the LP400 early version. Made a bunch of parts, it's so much fun in this 1/12th scale, I'll be watching this with great interest! Here's what I made to go between the seats and over the shoulders for seat belts, hope you don't mind me showing these on your post?
  12. Man those pictures in the shop look great! Fine model.
  13. Nice work so far! I just love making kit parts look better, and adding extras, keep posting, it's inspiring!
  14. Cool hot rod, love all the mods!
  15. I built this original JoHan '63 Dodge waaaay back in 1999/2000, when I really didn't know much, but it's the Lindberg '64 Dodge underpinnings, seemed to fit well to me back then. These are really old photos, but you can look at them and see how the fit is. It went pretty easily together and wheelbase looks good from the side? I am planning a much better '63 Plymouth so I'm watching this build closely, cheers!
  16. Wow, it's lookin' great so far, a lot of cool tips on this build thank you! What wheels and tires have you chosen, or is that still to be determined?
  17. Wow that's some nice work, love it and the colors cool!
  18. Thank you, no the folded top is just sprayed some flat black, I guess it's just nicely molded by Fujimi!
  19. As far as a camera goes, I think you could keep using your phone, just take pictures from farther away, then crop them. The blur you get looks like it's because you're too close for it to focus properly. Just a suggestion, as I do have a Nikon digital, but found the iPhone just as good and way more convenient as I always have it with me.
  20. I love these kinds of posts, showing step by step, and it IS impressive how you start with plain pieces of styrene and create a pickup body in large scale, wow, cool! And I love that black channeled roadster with yellow rims, man I've gotta get going on one of my own Big Dueces, um, someday! Cheers.
  21. This is so cool and I agree with y'all for suggestion some '58 Chevy influence on the front grill.
  22. Very cool work and a very cool car. So many mods, I love it!!
  23. Awesome work on that mega-super-car!
  24. Looks like a mediocre quality resin, but what you've already done is a huge improvement! Can't wait to see what else you'll do, as I also love the style of this car, cheers!
