  1. I'm really diggin' the new tires and '40 dash and steering wheel, cool man!
  2. Many years ago my friend Jerry was building one in 1/25th scale. I don't think he ever finished it though. Looks pretty cool!
  3. Beautiful color and your work on it looks so neat and clean, I love it!
  4. This is a cool project, and it's looking good so far. Nice idea with the tail gate, is it dry yet??? I wanna see it!
  5. Scout almost finished, outdoor lighting makes it look better.
  6. They are very nice kits, while there may be some inaccuracies, parts are clean and crisp. I built mine as a hot rod, so nothing bothered me. Interior is easily detailed to look really good! And the trunk is easy to open. New decal sheet and wood side trim is the only difference from the original, which can be added or ignored, they're totally separate, I "ignored" mine.
  7. Yeah that Caddy does look good, and something John T. would build, if he didn't build that! The roof and coves are nicely integrated, dual rear axles, meh. The GTO is not so good, no not good at all! My opinions only, others may vary!
  8. Michael, I install those little wires before assembly, then try to keep them out of the way during test fits, but finally once I actually marry the chassis to the body, they get tucked into wherever I wanted them to go. They are tiny and do require paint touch ups once things are together, so when I finally have all the stuff together, I go in an touch up everything, it's not easy for me to keep things neat and clean during assembly. This hasn't been done yet to my Scout. I'm building this not as a factory original, but one that maybe was once discarded, discovered and rescued, using available parts, as so many of the real ones were saved.
  9. Cool! And black on black sure looks sweet!
  10. Oh man, this is so cool, I love your scratch building! And those lines and clamps look so real!
  11. I started adding things underhood. Still need to scratch build (SB) a hood latch, throttle linkage, and a few other small goodies. Then I can clean up all the errant paint and add a bit of "grime":
  12. Those Rallye rims are resin from Bob Dudeck, I THINK, it was years ago. Maybe Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland has them?
  13. The Revell one might be a 1969, but it's SO much better!
  14. Cool Hot Rod!
  15. Awesome frame details, wow!
  16. But they do ship to Canada! Amazon increased their minimum wage, good for them, but now they have to raise their prices!!!
  17. Hey Tom your truck is looking excellent, but I think the front tires sit a bit too far back in the wheel opening, not? I was disappointed in Mobius for the misleading box art as well. Nothing much wrong with the kit, and it says F100 right on the box top, it's just that showing an image of something different is a tactic that I thought was way in the past. I'm sure Mobius will correct that box in the next issue, maybe the decals too. And Pat, the Chevy looks awesome!
  18. Thank you, as for the brake calipers, I thought they would interfere with the wheel attachment, won't they? I'd love to SB those! Have you?
  19. Hey Dan, when you drilled those speaker holes, did you use a template? I need to do that so maybe I could borrow your template??? Mine jambs are burried under paint.
  20. Love that gasser, sweet! Yes Darin, you should be able to scratch build one in this scale fairly easily, but I'm sure they're available 3D printed already.
  21. I love seeing all the SB and how much it adds to any model, I love it, thanks for sharing!
  22. Very cool 'Bird!
