  1. Beautiful!!!!!
  2. The dog dish caps you need are only available from The Modelhaus, and are meant to be used on the 1959-60 Chevrolet. The Revell '62 Impala Dog Dish Caps are wrong for the application. They still need to be paint detailed, but you get t het idea.
  3. Beatiful!
  4. I got mine today, and it is beautiful!!!! Thanks Kevin!!!!
  5. I like that, Lyle.
  6. Beautiful!!!
  7. Good for the seller. It's the market that dictates the price of the built model. Whoever the buyer(s) are, they feel that they are getting a good buy, or else they would not bid that price.
  8. Here You Go Charlie. Sorry for the long period if answering your question, as I have not seen this post until now. Ron
  9. Beautiful work, Marcos.
  10. Gary, I custom mixed the paint for the interior. Honduras Maroon is pretty close for the main red, a deep maroon will work for the darler tone, and the third tone is a mauve shade. I hand paint my interiors with acrylics, followed by a flat clear lacquer, rubbed out with skin oil to get the semi gloss sheen. The floorboards were flocked. Hope this helps. Ron.
  11. I had an '84 Z28 Demo with that interior scheme. The car was Black, with was supposed to be the "Charcoal" sport seats. Well, in the brochure, they showed this interior with "Orange" multi-colored seats. That's what you got when you ordered the 'Charcoal" with the sport seats. It would wake you up in the morning.. It went like stink with the 5.0 H.O. engine and automatic.
  12. They already make it. MCG 2109 for the 1961-62 Corvette kit. It will work for the Revell Kit.
  13. Mine will bookend with a '57 Chevy Black Widow, as a street driven car Chevy vs Ford.
  14. As much as I like the original issue of the Revell '68 Firebird kit, even with it's foibles(wheels and tires), I'll wait until it is on special at Big Lots, Ollies, or somewhere else for about $10. My major gripe is that the '68 Firebird kit could have been modified, and would be a better seller, if marketed as a convertible, a Sprint (OHC 6 and flat hood), or even backdated into a '67 or updated to a 1969, but wait, that would have taken some imagination and some tooling dollars. I like Chip Foose' work for the most part, and a tie-in to his company for a model replica is not a hateful idea, but the execution of this kit could have been better. As Frank Rizzo said in his post, "stance is repairable, crappy wheels arent." At least the box art is nice.
  15. Any Questions?????
  16. Happy Birthday Bill, and what did you get??????
  17. Thank you Mobius and Dave "Model King" Burkett for having the foresight to bring these gems to us. As someone who has bought quite a few of the Model King kits in the past, I feel that Dave's pricing is very fair for the risk and effort put forth by him. I will have to buy at least one two of each. Go get 'em!!!!!!
  18. I am working on one. Here is where I am with it. And here is where I want to end up.
  19. Ooooooooohhhhhhhh!!!!!!
  20. I have both the '58 Sedan Delivery (built as a street machine with Impala parts) and the '59 Biscayne 2 door sedan (not built, and not for sale), and I can say that Art's mods are right on.
  21. Lookin' good. Be very carefu l when you apply the letters on the hood. I 've found it easier to do them from the middle out. If you have some "Ghosting" of the original letters, that would help in the letter placement. I have several of the kits, as it is one of my favorite cars, and the first car I owned was a '65 Malibu. The MCG Photoetch kit is great!!! I used it on this one. I would like to do a hardtop with a vinyl roof to bookend with this one. I'll probably pull the 'vette wheels for the factory wheel covers when I do it.
  22. But they are sooo cooool, because they have that "look". I have a pretty nice "brand X" resin piece of one of those. I've cleaned it up, and I plan to build it soon.
