  1. Very Nice! One of my Teachers had a Burgundy one back in the day. I just placed an order for a kit. Your build is the one that put it over the top for me. I plan to do some of the same interior mods to my build. That is when I get around to it.
  2. I bought some Fred Cady and Keith Marks Decals for the '70 Charger when I was going to build my Modelhaus/ original annual MPC I built back in the day, but scrapped to do an accurate '69 from one of the original DOH kits back in the '80's. It's kind of funny, I have a lot of Chargers in my collection, and I plan to get one of these too. I even know what color it will be(Triple Black Hemi R/T), as I have a Hemming Muscle Magazine with the particular car on the cover. I have to get a set of white letter Polyglas GT's, and a set of proper Rally Wheels for the car. It should be a fine stable mate with my '67 and '71 Hemi Chargers. I may turn the new kit into a 440 Car, and build the Resin Bodied one as a Hemi. Decisions, Decisions.
  3. Rex, I appreciate the knowledge you have on the Mustang, as well as the interesting builds I have seen you do. I am about to revisit my Mach I. You will get a kick out of what I plan to do with it.
  4. Absolutely gorgeous!!!!
  5. I want to take a look at the hardtop from the Monogram '59 to see if it can fit on the AMT '57, as I have several of those I want to build..
  6. Steve that is some excellent work that I may incorporate in my '67 when I get back to it.
  7. Excellent!!!
  8. Several years ago, I came across a glue-bombed MPC '70 Cuda, and I did a lot of work to it, combining it with a shortened "Latest tool" '71 Charger. I also did a similar thing to a Craftsman '64 Valiant, combining it with a '71 Duster in order to get the desired detail I wanted in the build. I have been fortunate in that I was able to procure a not so nice '65 Barracuda, which I am going to transform into a 273 "Power Pack" car using the skills I learned from doing the Valiant, and a dilapidated '66 Promo, which I am going to open up, and re-work into a detailed build, using parts from the '71 If I can find another one. Revell's ;68 and '69 Dodge Darts are pretty nice kits, and I wish that the AMT '71 Duster was as nice a kit ( excellent chassis and running gear, poor execution of side windows), as well as the '69 Barracuda (ancient tooling). I built one of the AMT '69 Barracudas pretty much from the box as a street machine, and it went together quite easy, and looked great. I worked over a Revell '70 AAR into a Gran Coupe, and I have yet to build a Revell '70 Hemi Cudas as I have several for a few projects. Even though I am a Chevy guy at heart, I am deep into well detailed Mopars and Fords too.
  9. I picked one of those up Saturday. I have not gone over it too much, but I am delighted that there are stock parts for the 351 Windsor Engine. I am making arrangements to get the stock engine parts cast in resin to use on my Starsky and Hutch car. I started on a '72 Gran Torino Sport Sportsroof, using a JoHan Nascar Body Chrome, and Glass. I was able to get some parts from Motor City Resin, namely a scooped hood , and a mostly correct Bucket Seat Interior. And I am going to adapt the rest from a Revell Gran Torino. I am going to use a set of Magmum 500 wheels from a '70 Torino GT. I have the Model Car Garage Photoetch, as I plan to add a Vinyl Roof, and some Body Side Mouldings, after I do a little body Massaging as I did on m Starsky and Hutch Car on the side windows, and sail panels. For my purposes, this is a much better kit than the Starsky and Hutch Rendition
  10. Great Work!!!!
  11. It's kind of funny, in some areas, those old Revell Wreckers are quite expensive, and then some are quite cheap. I have a few of them, just for the wrecker and accessories, as the rest of the kit is junk to me. My plan is to do a few '70's wreckers, using the AMT Ford F350 Kits, Chevy and Dodge pickups for a diorama of a filling station/shop/used car lot I plan to do in the future. I have just about everything to do it with except time and patience. I even have the first wrecker planned, down to the color. Yours looks marvelous, and I love that scratch-built body you did on Cooter's Truck. I wonder how many of those would sell if it were properly executed like yours.
  12. Oh No!!!! My stomach hurts!!!!
  13. I have a Revell that I built in the80's, and an original MPC from 1983 Moulded in red.
  14. I love that one. It brings back memories. I bought one of those when it was new, and built it right away. I still have it, even though it has not seen the light in over 25 years. I lost a side marker light from it, but otherwise it is still there. One day, I may reassemble it.
  15. That looks great!!! I just picked up a Revell "Midnight Cowboy" for the Holmes 440 rig to do a future project. I sold a couple of them in a past life as a truck salesman, so I am familiar with them, and I know what I want to build. I just have to make time.
  16. Looking at that one makes me want to get back to work on my '63. I've decided that it will be a mild custom, as I cannot stand the crooked mouldings, so I am going to craft a new set, and put a set of Radirs and pin whites on it, along with a Revell Parts Pack 427 Engine from the parts department
  17. great concept and execution!!!
  18. I love it, and it looks mighty familiar.
  19. Absolutely!!!! I just picked up one of these for a nostalgia fix. It does not look too bad. I am going to compare it with the MPC '92, and the Revell '85 that I have. I built and still have 3 of the Revell 1/16 Camaro Kits and loved them, and I did a MPC Pace Car back when it was new in 1982, and it is still on the shelf in all of it's dusty glory. I am going to clean it up, but not restore it as I want to preserve it as is. It's all there.
  20. I saw one of those at our club meeting yesterday. I wouldn't touch it, as I was already not feeling well.
  21. I love that Bird! I have done a '68 and a '71 Town Landau, and I have a '67, '69, 70 and '71 to do one day. That is one fantastic build!!!
  22. Lovely!!!!
  23. Fantastic!!!!
  24. you and me both. I had a white '83, a black '84 with the 5 Liter HO, and those loud red-Orange seats with "CAMARO" all over them, and a Copper '85 with a 5-spd stick for my demos. I got a kick out of all of those. I never had the AMT kit, just the MPC Indy pace cat that I still have. I may have to pick one of these up, and find a set of Decent Eagle GT Tires for it..
