  1. If you can afoord and justify the cost, buy it. It is one fantastic kit!!!!! Everything from HRM is first rate!!!!!
  2. The Revell '69 Dart kit did not have a vinyl roof at all. I built one back in the day, and added the vinyl roof to it. However the Mr. Norm's version of the '68 had a vinyl roof moulded in.The same as the Revell Charger kits. but in reverse.
  3. Speaking of that, I am going to revisit a stalled project, that I am using the MCG kit on. I did a lot of work on it, and I have everything I need to complete the build.
  4. Nice work!!!!
  5. Personally, I do not mind comments from a knowledgeable person who can actually back up their statements with photos and facts. I still contend that no model kit is perfect. They all need some sort of "massaging" to look right in my eyes. I look forward to the comments from certain modelers on the board. Others, I take with a grain of salt.I buy and build models to satisfy me, and I try to get the best example of the car. When Monogram brought out that '69 Camaro Z28 kit back in the '80's, unless you could get your hands on an AMT or MPC annual, it was the only game in town, and until Revell brought out the '69 Yenko with the yellow car on the box, we did not have a really good '69 Camaro kit. I bought one of the Monogram Camaros, built it, and put it on the shelf. In the '80's when MPC retooled and reissued their '69 Camaro, I bought a couple of them, and scrapped the Monogram '69 Camaro, which by the way, had a beautiful set of Motor Wheel Fly/Spyder Mags, and some nice Scheel Sport Seats, and when Revell brought out their series of '69 Camaros, I bought and built several of them. In the case of Revell's '90 Mustang LX, a good friend of mine pointed out its shortcomings at our NNL. He owned a few of them over the years and he stated that he would not buy one. I bought one anyway, but I have yet to build it. Mike Schur did a marvelous job of correcting the body in that kit. I may get one of the hatchback resin kits he designed, as I like the Hatch better than the notchback. I can only hope that Revell can correct the kit like they did the '69 Charger, and offer the corrected parts to the Modelers who want them at no charge. Sure it's expensive, but that bit of goodwill will do them quite a bit of good.
  6. I started work on mine last week, and I have it up on its wheels, without paint, just to see how everything fits. The windshield header shape bugs me, but the amount of curvature in it is not going to warrant my repairing it. Once I get some primer and paint on it, it should just fall together.
  7. I have a rather whipped '61 wagon on the stash. I would love to use it, and do this... http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg59/RonHamilton/Long Roofs/1963FordCountrySquire2_zps45b919de.jpg
  8. Beeeep beeeep!!!!!!
  9. Looks very nice. Don't forget to Bare Metal the side window drip mouldings. The VP Challenger R/T had them.
  10. I really like compact cars, as I owned a couple myself. In the case of models, I have several Valiants, Corvairs, Tempests, Novas, Falcons, and even a Buick Special, and an Olds F85 from the early 60's.
  11. Fantastic!!!!!
  12. Lookin' good. I bought one of the original issues of that kit when it first came out, and never built it. I was going through my stuff last week and saw it. Looking at yours may make me put it on the "to do" list.
  13. Wow!!!! A man after my heart!!!
  14. Beautiful!!!! I am considering either the Hardtop, or the convertible, which I have already cleaned up the body. I am thinking about doing the "Custom Bucket Seat" option on my hardtop, as I have not seen any info confirming that option for the convertible. I may do mine as a mild custom, as I have a set of "Steel Back" buckets from a Monogram '59 Cadillac project, that will work very well on the project.
  15. Tom, That correction looks to be first rate. I hope you have it cast for those folks who would want it.
  16. That is so nice!
  17. Very nice, and it looks very familiar to me, as it is the fraternal twin to my Ranchero, which I am not going to post out of respect for Rick.
  18. Nice build. I had a few Cavaliers as demonstrators, and I even owned one. It was not a terrible car, in fact I liked it. I sold a LOT of them too back in the '80's. I cannot remember the last time I saw one in the flesh. I have a kit in my collection, but I cannot build it as a replica of my car without a lot of cutting and cursing. I may just go the same route as you did, and do a nice out of the box build.
  19. I built this one several years ago when the kit first came out. http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg59/RonHamilton/Impalas and Caprices/mama meeting august 2015 030_zpsj2qmff5a.jpg http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg59/RonHamilton/Impalas and Caprices/mama meeting august 2015 029_zpsqgu4rla4.jpg http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg59/RonHamilton/Impalas and Caprices/2008_11211964Valiant0004.jpg
